The Burden against Egypt

1This is the burdenH4853 against EgyptH4714:

BeholdH2009, the LORDH3068 ridesH7392 onH5921 a swiftH7031 cloudH5645;He is comingH935 to EgyptH4714.The idolsH457 of EgyptH4714 will trembleH5128 before HimH6440,and the heartsH3824 of the EgyptiansH4714 will meltH4549 within themH7130.
2“So I will inciteH5526 EgyptianH4714 against EgyptianH4714;brother will fightH3898 against brotherH251, neighbor against neighborH7453,cityH5892 against cityH5892, and kingdomH4467 against kingdomH4467.3Then the spiritH7307 of the EgyptiansH4714 will be emptied outH1238 from among themH7130,and I will frustrateH1104 their plansH6098,so that they will resortH1875 toH413 idolsH457 andH413 spirits of the deadH328H413,to mediumsH178 andH413 spiritistsH3049.4I will deliverH5534 the EgyptiansH4714 into the handsH3027 of a harshH7186 masterH113,and a fierceH5794 kingH4428 will ruleH4910 over them,”declaresH5002 the LordH113 GODH3068 of HostsH6635.5The watersH4325 of theH3220 Nile will dry upH3001,and the riverbedH5104 will be parchedH2717 and emptyH5405.6The canalsH5104 will stinkH2186;the streamsH2975 of EgyptH4693 will trickleH1809 and dry upH2717;the reedsH7070 and rushesH5488 will witherH7060.7The bulrushesH6169 byH5921 the NileH2975,byH5921 the mouthH6310 of the riverH2975,and allH3605 the fields sownH4218 along the NileH2975,will witherH3001, blow awayH5086, and be noH369 more.
8Then the fishermenH1771 will mournH578,allH3605 who castH7993 a hookH2443 into the NileH2975 will lamentH56,and those who spreadH6566 netsH4365 onH5921H6440 the watersH4325 will pine awayH535.9The workersH5647 in flaxH6593 will be dismayedH954,and the weaversH707 of fine linenH8305 will turn paleH2355.10The workers in clothH83561 will beH1961 dejectedH1792,and allH3605 the hiredH7938 workersH6213 will be sickH99 at heartH5315.
11The princesH8269 of ZoanH6814 are mereH389 foolsH191;Pharaoh’sH6547 wiseH2450 counselorsH6098 give senselessH1197 adviceH6098.HowH349 can you sayH559 toH413 PharaohH6547,“IH589 am oneH1121 of the wiseH2450,a sonH1121 of easternH6924 kingsH4428”?12WhereH335 are your wise menH2450 nowH645?Let them tellH5046H4994 you and revealH3045whatH4100 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 has plannedH3289 againstH5921 EgyptH4714.
13The princesH8269 of ZoanH6814 have become foolsH2973;the princesH8269 of MemphisH52972 are deceivedH5377.The cornerstonesH6438 of her tribesH7626have led EgyptH4714 astrayH8582.14The LORDH3068 has pouredH4537 into herH7130a spiritH7307 of confusionH5773.EgyptH4714 has been led astrayH8582 in allH3605 she doesH4639,as a drunkardH7910 staggers throughH8582 his own vomitH6892.15There isH1961 nothingH3808 EgyptH4714 can doH6213—headH7218 or tailH2180, palmH3712 or reedH100.

A Blessing upon the Earth

16In thatH1931 dayH3117 the EgyptiansH4714 will beH1961 like womenH802. They will trembleH2729 with fearH6342 beneathH6440 the upliftedH8573 handH3027 of the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, when HeH1931 brandishesH5130 itH834 against themH5921. 17The landH127 of JudahH3063 will bring terrorH2283 to EgyptH4714; wheneverH3605 Judah is mentionedH2142, Egypt will trembleH6342 overH6440 what the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 has plannedH6098H3289 against itH5921.

18In thatH1931H1961 dayH3117 fiveH2568 citiesH5892 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714 will speakH1696 the languageH8193 of CanaanH3667 and swear allegianceH7650 to the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635. One of themH259 will be calledH559 the CityH5892 of the SunH2041.3

19In thatH1931 dayH3117 there will beH1961 an altarH4196 to the LORDH3068 in the centerH8432 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and a pillarH4676 to the LORDH3068 nearH681 her borderH1366. 20It will beH1961 a signH226 and a witnessH5707 to the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. WhenH3588 they cry outH6817 toH413 the LORDH3068 because ofH6440 their oppressorsH3905, He will sendH7971 them a saviorH3467 and defenderH7227 to rescue themH5337. 21The LORDH3068 will make Himself knownH3045 to EgyptH4714, and on thatH1931 dayH3117 EgyptH4714 will acknowledgeH3045 the LORDH3068. 22And the LORDH3068 will strikeH5062 Egypt with a plagueH4714; He will strike themH5062 but heal themH7495. They will turnH7725 toH5704 the LORDH3068, and He will hear their prayersH6279 and heal themH7495.

23In thatH1931 dayH3117 there will beH1961 a highwayH4546 from EgyptH4714 to AssyriaH804. The AssyriansH804 will goH935 to EgyptH4714, and the EgyptiansH4714 to AssyriaH804. The EgyptiansH4714 and AssyriansH804 will worship togetherH5647.

24In thatH1931 dayH3117 IsraelH3478 will joinH1961 a three-partyH7992 alliance with EgyptH4714 and AssyriaH804—a blessingH1293 uponH7130 the earthH776. 25The LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 will blessH1288 themH834, sayingH559, “BlessedH1288 be EgyptH4714 My peopleH5971, AssyriaH804 My handiworkH4639H3027, and IsraelH3478 My inheritanceH5159.”
