1This isthe burdenמַשָּׂ֖אma.Sa'H4853against Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714:Beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068ridesרֹכֵ֨בro.KhevH7392onעַל־'al-H5921a swiftקַל֙kalH7031cloudעָ֥ב'avH5645;He is comingוּבָ֣אu.Va'H935to Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714.The idolsאֱלִילֵ֤י'e.li.LeiH457of Egyptמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714will trembleוְנָע֞וּve.na.'UH5128before Himמִפָּנָ֔יוmi.pa.NavH6440,and the heartsוּלְבַ֥בu.le.VavH3824of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714will meltיִמַּ֥סyi.MasH4549within themבְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃be.kir.BoH7130.
2“So I will inciteוְסִכְסַכְתִּ֤יve.sikh.sakh.TiH5526Egyptianמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714against Egyptianבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714; brotherאִישׁ־'ish-H376will fightוְנִלְחֲמ֥וּve.nil.cha.MuH3898against brotherבְּאָחִ֖יוbe.'a.ChivH251, neighborוְאִ֣ישׁve.'IshH376against neighborבְּרֵעֵ֑הוּbe.re.'E.huH7453,cityעִ֣יר'irH5892against cityבְּעִ֔ירbe.'IrH5892, andkingdomמַמְלָכָ֖הmam.la.KhahH4467against kingdomבְּמַמְלָכָֽה׃be.mam.la.KhahH4467.
3Then the spiritרֽוּחַ־Ru.ach-H7307of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714will be emptied outוְנָבְקָ֤הve.na.ve.KahH1238from among themבְּקִרְבּ֔וֹbe.kir.BoH7130,and I will frustrateאֲבַלֵּ֑עַ'a.va.Le.a'H1104their plansוַעֲצָת֖וֹva.'a.tza.ToH6098,so that they will resortוְדָרְשׁ֤וּve.da.re.ShuH1875toאֶל־'el-H413idolsהָֽאֱלִילִים֙ha.'e.li.LimH457andוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413spirits of the deadהָ֣אִטִּ֔ים וְאֶל־ha.'i.Tim ve.'el-H328H413,to mediumsהָאֹב֖וֹתha.'o.VotH178andוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413spiritistsהַיִּדְּעֹנִֽים׃hai.yi.de.'o.NimH3049.
4I will deliverוְסִכַּרְתִּי֙ve.si.kar.TiH5534אֶת־'et-H853the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714into the handsבְּיַ֖דbe.YadH3027of a harshקָשֶׁ֑הka.ShehH7186masterאֲדֹנִ֣ים'a.do.NimH113,and a fierceעַז֙'azH5794kingוּמֶ֤לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428will ruleיִמְשָׁל־yim.shol-H4910over them,”declaresנְאֻ֥םne.'UmH5002the Lordהָאָד֖וֹןha.'a.DonH113GODיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.
6The canalsנְהָר֔וֹתne.ha.RotH5104will stinkוְהֶאֶזְנִ֣יחוּve.he.'ez.Ni.chuH2186;the streamsיְאֹרֵ֣יye.'o.ReiH2975of Egyptמָצ֑וֹרma.TzorH4693will trickleדָּלֲל֥וּda.la.LuH1809and dry upוְחָרְב֖וּve.cha.re.VuH2717;the reedsקָנֶ֥הka.NehH7070and rushesוָס֖וּףva.SufH5488will witherקָמֵֽלוּ׃ka.Me.luH7060.
7The bulrushesעָר֥וֹתa.RotH6169byעַל־'al-H5921the Nileיְא֖וֹרye.'orH2975,byעַל־'al-H5921the mouthפִּ֣יpiH6310of the riverיְא֑וֹרye.'orH2975,and allוְכֹל֙ve.KholH3605the fields sownמִזְרַ֣עmiz.Ra'H4218along the Nileיְא֔וֹרye.'orH2975,will witherיִיבַ֥שׁyi.VashH3001,blow awayנִדַּ֖ףni.DafH5086,and be noוְאֵינֶֽנּוּ׃ve.'ei.Ne.nuH369more.
8Then the fishermenהַדַּיָּגִ֔יםha.dai.ya.GimH1771will mournוְאָנוּ֙ve.'a.NuH578,allכָּל־kol-H3605who castמַשְׁלִיכֵ֥יmash.li.KheiH7993a hookחַכָּ֑הcha.KahH2443into the Nileבַיְא֖וֹרvay.'orH2975will lamentוְאָ֣בְל֔וּve.'A.ve.LuH56,and those who spreadוּפֹרְשֵׂ֥יu.fo.re.SeiH6566netsמִכְמֹ֛רֶתmikh.Mo.retH4365onעַל־ פְּנֵי־'al- pe.nei-H5921H6440the watersמַ֖יִםMa.yimH4325will pine awayאֻמְלָֽלוּ׃'um.La.luH535.
11The princesשָׂ֣רֵיSa.reiH8269of Zoanצֹ֔עַןTzo.'anH6814are mereאַךְ־'akh-H389foolsאֱוִלִים֙'e.vi.LimH191;Pharaoh’sפַרְעֹ֔הfar.'OhH6547wiseחַכְמֵי֙chakh.MeiH2450counselorsיֹעֲצֵ֣יyo.'a.TzeiH6098give senselessנִבְעָרָ֑הniv.'a.RahH1197adviceעֵצָ֖ה'e.TzahH6098.Howאֵ֚יךְ'eikhH349can you sayתֹּאמְר֣וּto.me.RuH559toאֶל־'el-H413Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547, “Iאֲנִ֖י'a.NiH589am oneבֶּן־ben-H1121of the wiseחֲכָמִ֥יםcha.kha.MimH2450,a sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of easternקֶֽדֶם׃Ke.demH6924kingsמַלְכֵי־mal.khei-H4428”?
12Whereאַיָּם֙'ai.YamH335are your wise menחֲכָמֶ֔יךָcha.kha.Mei.khaH2450nowאֵפ֣וֹא'e.Fo'H645?Let them tellוְיַגִּ֥ידוּ נָ֖אve.ya.Gi.du na'H5046H4994youand revealוְיֵ֣דְע֔וּve.Ye.de.'UH3045whatמַה־mah-H4100the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has plannedיָּעַ֛ץya.'AtzH3289againstעַל־'al-H5921Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.
13The princesשָׂ֣רֵיSa.reiH8269of Zoanצֹ֔עַןTzo.'anH6814have become foolsנֽוֹאֲלוּ֙no.'a.LuH2973;the princesשָׂ֣רֵיSa.reiH8269of Memphisנֹ֑ףNofH5297are deceivedנִשְּׁא֖וּni.she.'UH5377.The cornerstonesפִּנַּ֥תpi.NatH6438of her tribesשְׁבָטֶֽיהָ׃she.va.Tei.haH7626have led Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714astrayהִתְע֥וּhit.'UH8582אֶת־'et-H853.
14The LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has pouredמָסַ֥ךְma.SakhH4537into herבְּקִרְבָּ֖הּbe.kir.BahH7130a spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of confusionעִוְעִ֑ים'iv.'ImH5773.Egyptמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714has been led astrayוְהִתְע֤וּve.hit.'UH8582אֶת־'et-H853in allבְּכָֽל־be.kholH3605she doesמַעֲשֵׂ֔הוּma.'a.Se.huH4639,as a drunkardשִׁכּ֖וֹרshi.KorH7910staggers throughכְּהִתָּע֥וֹתke.hi.ta.'otH8582his own vomitבְּקִיאֽוֹ׃be.ki.'OH6892.
A Blessing upon the Earth

20It will beוְהָיָ֨הve.ha.YahH1961a signלְא֥וֹתle.'otH226and a witnessוּלְעֵ֛דu.le.'EdH5707to the LORDלַֽיהוָ֥הla.Yah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714.Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588they cry outיִצְעֲק֤וּyitz.'a.KuH6817toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068because ofמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440their oppressorsלֹֽחֲצִ֔יםlo.cha.TzimH3905,He will sendוְיִשְׁלַ֥חve.yish.LachH7971thema saviorמוֹשִׁ֥יעַmo.Shi.a'H3467and defenderH7227to rescue themוְהִצִּילָֽם׃ve.hi.tzi.LamH5337.
21The LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will make Himself knownוְנוֹדַ֤עve.no.Da'H3045to Egyptלְמִצְרַ֔יִםle.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,and on thatהַה֑וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117Egyptמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714אֶת־'et-H853will acknowledgeוְיָדְע֥וּve.ya.de.'UH3045the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.They will worshipוְעָֽבְדוּ֙ve.'a.ve.DuH5647with sacrificesזֶ֣בַחZe.vachH2077and offeringsוּמִנְחָ֔הu.min.ChahH4503;they will makeוְנָדְרוּ־ve.na.de.ru-H5087vowsנֵ֥דֶרNe.derH5088to the LORDלַֽיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068and fulfill themוְשִׁלֵּֽמוּ׃ve.shi.Le.muH7999.
22And the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853will strikeוְנָגַ֧ףve.na.GafH5062Egypt with a plagueמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;He will strike themנָגֹ֣ףna.GofH5062but heal themוְרָפ֑וֹאve.ra.Fo'H7495.They will turnוְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ve.Sha.vuH7725toעַד־'ad-H5704the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and He will hear their prayersוְנֶעְתַּ֥רve.ne'.TarH6279andheal themוּרְפָאָֽם׃u.re.fa.'AmH7495.
