Genesis 48:17-22
17When JosephH3130 sawH7200 thatH3588 his fatherH1 had placedH7896 his rightH3225 handH3027 onH5921 Ephraim’sH669 headH7218, he was displeasedH7489H5869 and tookH8551 his father’sH1 handH3027 to moveH5493 itH853 fromH5921 Ephraim’sH669 headH7218 toH5921H7218 Manasseh’sH4519. 18“NotH3808 soH3651, my fatherH1!” JosephH3130 saidH559. “ThisH2088 one is the firstbornH1060; putH7760 your right handH3225 onH5921 his headH7218.”
19But his fatherH1 refusedH3985. “I knowH3045, my sonH1121, I knowH3045!” he saidH559. “HeH1931 tooH1571 shall becomeH1961 a peopleH5971, and heH1931 tooH1571 shall be greatH1431; neverthelessH199, his youngerH6996 brotherH251 shall be greaterH1431 than heH4480, and his offspringH2233 shall becomeH1961 a multitudeH4393 of nationsH1471.”
20So that dayH3117 Jacob blessedH1288 themH1931 and saidH559:
So he putH7760 EphraimH669 beforeH6440 ManassehH4519.
21Then IsraelH3478 saidH559 toH413 JosephH3130, “LookH2009, IH595 am about to dieH4191, but GodH430 will beH1961 with youH5973 and bringH7725 youH853 back toH413 the landH776 of your fathersH1. 22And to you, as one who is aboveH5921 your brothersH251, IH589 giveH5414 theH259 ridge of landH79261 thatH834 I tookH3947 fromH3027 the AmoritesH567 with my swordH2719 and bowH7198.”
