Genesis 33:12-20
12Then Esau saidH559, “Let us be on our wayH5265H1980, and I will goH1980 ahead of youH5048.”
13But Jacob repliedH559H413, “My lordH113 knowsH3045 thatH3588 the childrenH3206 are frailH7390, and I must care forH5921 sheepH6629 and cattleH1241 that are nursing their youngH5763. If they are driven hardH1849 for even aH259 dayH3117, allH3605 the animalsH6629 will dieH4191. 14PleaseH4994 let my lordH113 goH5674 ahead ofH6440 his servantH5650. IH589 will continueH5095 on slowlyH328, at a comfortable paceH7272 for the livestockH4399 and childrenH3206, untilH5704 I comeH935 toH413 my lordH113 at SeirH8165.”
15“Let me leaveH3322H4994 some ofH4480 myH834H854 peopleH5971 with youH5973,” EsauH6215 saidH559.
But Jacob repliedH559, “WhyH4100 do thatH2088? Let me findH4672 favorH2580 in the sightH5869 of my lordH113.”
16So thatH1931 dayH3117 EsauH6215 started on his wayH1870 backH7725 to SeirH8165, 17but JacobH3290 went onH5265 to SuccothH5523,1 where he builtH1129 a houseH1004 for himself and sheltersH5521 for his livestockH4735H6213; that is whyH5921H3651 the placeH4725 was calledH7121H8034 SuccothH5523.
18After JacobH3290 had comeH935 from Paddan-aramH6307H758,2 he arrivedH935 safelyH8003 at the cityH5892 of ShechemH7927 in the landH776 of CanaanH3667, and he campedH2583H854 just outsideH6440 the cityH5892. 19And the plotH2513 of groundH7704 whereH834 he pitchedH5186H8033 his tentH168, he purchasedH7069 fromH3027 the sonsH1121 of HamorH2544, Shechem’sH7927 fatherH1, for a hundredH3967 pieces of silverH7192.3 20ThereH8033 he set upH5324 an altarH4196 and calledH7121 it El-Elohe-IsraelH410H430H3478.4
