When LeahH3812 sawH7200 thatH3588 she had stoppedH5975 having childrenH3205, she gaveH3947H5414 her servantH8198 ZilpahH2153 to JacobH3290 as a wifeH802. 10And Leah’sH3812 servantH8198 ZilpahH2153 boreH3205 JacobH3290 a sonH1121. 11Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “How fortunateH935!”1 So she namedH7121 himH8034 GadH1410.2

When Leah’sH3812 servantH8198 ZilpahH2153 boreH3205 JacobH3290 a secondH8145 sonH1121, 13LeahH3812 saidH559, “How happy I amH837! ForH3588 the womenH1323 call me happyH833.” So she namedH7121 himH8034 AsherH836.3

Now during the wheatH2406 harvestH7105, ReubenH7205H3117 went outH1980 and foundH4672 some mandrakesH1736 in the fieldH7704. When he broughtH935 themH853 toH413 his motherH517, RachelH7354 beggedH559H413 LeahH3812, “PleaseH4994 give meH5414 some of your son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.”

But Leah repliedH559, “Is it not enoughH4592 that you have taken awayH3947 my husbandH376? Now youH1571 want to takeH3947 my son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736 as well?”

“Very wellH3651,” saidH559 RachelH7354, “he may sleepH7901 with youH5973 tonightH3915 in exchange forH8478 your son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.”

When JacobH3290 came inH935 fromH4480 the fieldH7704 that eveningH6153, LeahH3812 went outH3318 to meet himH7122 and saidH559, “You must comeH935 with meH413, forH3588 I have hired youH7936 with my son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.” So he sleptH7901 with herH5973 thatH1931 nightH3915.

And GodH430 listenedH8085 toH413 LeahH3812, and she conceivedH2029 and boreH3205 a fifthH2549 sonH1121 to JacobH3290. 18Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “GodH430 has rewarded meH5414H7939 forH834 givingH5414 my maidservantH8198 to my husbandH376.” So she named himH7121H8034 IssacharH3485.4
