Genesis 27:6-24
6RebekahH7259 saidH559 toH413 her sonH1121 JacobH3290, “BeholdH2009, I overheardH8085 your fatherH1 sayingH1696 toH413 your brotherH251H559 EsauH6215, 7‘BringH935 me some gameH6718 and prepareH6213 me a tasty dishH4303 to eatH398, so that I may bless youH1288 in the presenceH6440 of the LORDH3068 beforeH6440 I dieH4194.’
8NowH6258, my sonH1121, listen toH8085 my voiceH6963 and do exactly asH834 IH589 tellH6680 youH853. 9Go outH1980H4994 toH413 the flockH6629 and bringH3947 meH8033 twoH8147 choiceH2896 young goatsH1423H5795, so that I can makeH6213 themH853 into a tasty dishH4303 for your fatherH1—the kindH834 he lovesH157. 10Then takeH935 it to your fatherH1 to eatH398, so thatH5668 he may blessH1288 you beforeH6440 he diesH4194.”
11JacobH3290H413 answeredH559 his motherH517 RebekahH7259, “LookH2005, my brotherH251 EsauH6215 is a hairyH8163 manH376, but I amH595H376 smooth-skinnedH2509. 12What ifH194 my fatherH1 touches meH4959? Then I would be revealedH1961 to himH5869 as a deceiverH8591, and I would bringH935 upon myselfH5921 a curseH7045 rather thanH3808 a blessingH1293.”
13His motherH517 repliedH559, “Your curseH7045 be on meH5921, my sonH1121. JustH389 obeyH8085 my voiceH6963 and goH1980 get themH3947 for me.”
14So Jacob wentH1980 and gotH3947 two goats and brought themH935 to his motherH517, whoH517 madeH6213 the tasty foodH4303 his fatherH1 lovedH157. 15And RebekahH7259 tookH3947 the finestH2532 clothesH899 in the houseH1004 thatH834 belongedH854 to her olderH1419 sonH1121 EsauH6215, and she put them onH3847 her youngerH6996 sonH1121 JacobH3290. 16She also putH853H3847 the skinsH5785 of the youngH1423 goatsH5795 onH5921 his handsH3027 and onH5921 the smooth partH2513 of his neckH6677. 17ThenH853 she handedH5414H3027 her sonH1121 JacobH3290 the tasty foodH4303 and breadH3899 she had madeH6213.
18So Jacob wentH935 toH413 his fatherH1 and saidH559, “My fatherH1.”
“Here I amH2009!” he answeredH559. “Which oneH4310 are youH859, my sonH1121?”
19JacobH3290 saidH559 toH413 his fatherH1, “IH595 am EsauH6215, your firstbornH1060. I have doneH6213 asH834 you told meH1696H413. PleaseH4994H6965 sit upH3427 and eatH398 some of my gameH6718, so thatH5668 youH5315 may bless meH1288.”
20But IsaacH3327 askedH559H413 his sonH1121, “HowH4100 did you ever findH4672 it soH2088 quicklyH4116, my sonH1121?”
“BecauseH3588 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 broughtH7136 it to meH6440,” he repliedH559.
21Then IsaacH3327 saidH559 toH413 JacobH3290, “PleaseH4994 come closerH5066 so I can touch youH4184, my sonH1121. Are youH859 reallyH2088 my sonH1121 EsauH6215, orH518 notH3808?”
22So JacobH3290 came closeH5066 toH413 his fatherH1 IsaacH3327, who touched himH4959 and saidH559, “The voiceH6963 is the voiceH6963 of JacobH3290, but the handsH3027 are the handsH3027 of EsauH6215.” 23Isaac did notH3808 recognize himH5234, becauseH3588 his handsH3027 wereH1961 hairyH8163 like thoseH3027 of his brotherH251 EsauH6215; so he blessed himH1288.
24Again he askedH559, “Are youH859 reallyH2088 my sonH1121 EsauH6215?”
