Galatians 3:6-14

6So alsoG2531, “AbrahamG11 believedG4100 GodG2316, andG2532 it was creditedG3049 to himG846 asG1519 righteousnessG1343.”1 7UnderstandG1097, thenG686, thatG3754 those whoG3588 haveG1537 faithG4102 areG1510 sonsG5207 of AbrahamG11. 8TheG3588 ScriptureG1124 foresawG4308 thatG3754 GodG2316 would justifyG1344 theG3588 GentilesG1484 byG1537 faithG4102, and foretold the gospelG4283 to AbrahamG11: “AllG3956 nationsG1484 will be blessedG1757 throughG1722 youG4771.”2 9SoG5620 those whoG3588 haveG1537 faithG4102 are blessedG2127 along withG4862 AbrahamG11, theG3588 man of faithG4103.

All whoG3745 rely onG1510G1537 worksG2041 of the lawG3551 areG1510 underG5259 a curseG2671. ForG1063 it is writtenG1125: “Cursed isG1944 everyoneG3956 whoG3739 does not continueG3756G1696 to doG4160 everythingG846G3956 writtenG1125 inG1722 theG3588 BookG975 of theG3588 LawG3551.”3 11NowG1161 it is clearG1212 thatG3754 no oneG3762 is justifiedG1344 beforeG3844 GodG2316 byG1722 the lawG3551, becauseG3754, “TheG3588 righteousG1342 will liveG2198 byG1537 faithG4102.”4 12TheG3588 lawG3551, howeverG1161, isG1510 notG3756 basedG1537 on faithG4102; on the contraryG235, “TheG3588 man who doesG4160 these thingsG846 will liveG2198 byG1722 themG846.”5

13ChristG5547 redeemedG1805 usG1473 fromG1537 theG3588 curseG2671 of theG3588 lawG3551 by becomingG1096 a curseG2671 forG5228 usG1473. ForG3754 it is writtenG1125: “Cursed isG1944 everyoneG3956 whoG3588 is hungG2910 onG1909 a treeG3586.”6 14He redeemed us in order thatG2443 theG3588 blessing promisedG2129 to AbrahamG117 would comeG1096 toG1519 theG3588 GentilesG1484 inG1722 ChristG5547 JesusG2424, so thatG2443 byG1223 faithG4102 we might receiveG2983 theG3588 promiseG1860 of theG3588 SpiritG4151.
