The Hour of Doom
1And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 2“OH859 sonH1121 of manH120, this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559 to the landH127 of IsraelH3478:
‘The endH7093! The endH7093 has comeH935uponH5921 the fourH702 cornersH3671 of the landH776.3The endH7093 is nowH6258 upon youH5921,and I will unleashH7971 My angerH639 against you.I will judge youH8199 according to your waysH1870and repayH5414 youH5921 for allH3605 your abominationsH8441.4I will notH3808 look on youH5921H5869 with pityH2347,norH3808 will I spare youH2550,but I will punish you forH3588 your waysH1870H5921H5414and for the abominationsH8441 among youH8432.
‘DisasterH7451! An unprecedentedH259 disasterH74511—beholdH2009, it is comingH935!6The endH7093 has comeH935!The endH7093 has comeH935!It has roused itselfH6974 against youH413.BeholdH2009, it has comeH935!7DoomH6843 has comeH935 to youH413,O inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776.The timeH6256 has comeH935;the dayH3117 is nearH7138;there is panicH4103 on the mountainsH2022instead of shouts of joyH3808H1906.
8Very soonH7138 I will pour outH8210 My wrathH2534 upon youH5921and ventH3615 My angerH639 against you;I will judge youH8199 according to your waysH1870and repay youH5414H5921 for allH3605 your abominationsH8441.9I will notH3808 look on you with pityH2347H5869,norH3808 will I spare youH2550,but I will punish youH5414 for your waysH1870H5921and for the abominationsH8441 among youH8432H1961.Then you will knowH3045 thatH3588 it is IH589, the LORDH3068,who strikes the blowH5221.
10BeholdH2009, the dayH3117 is hereH2009!It has comeH935!DoomH6843 has gone outH3318,the rodH4294 has buddedH6524,arroganceH2087 has bloomedH6692.11Their violenceH2555 has grownH6965 into a rodH4294to punish their wickednessH7562.2NoneH3808 of them will remain:noneH3808 of their multitudeH1995,noneH3808 of their wealthH1991,and nothingH3808 of valueH5089.
12The timeH6256 has comeH935;the dayH3117 has arrivedH5060.Let the buyerH7069 notH408 rejoiceH8055and the sellerH4376 notH408 mournH56,forH3588 wrathH2740 is uponH413 the wholeH3605 multitudeH1995.
The Desolation of Israel
13The sellerH4376 will surelyH3588 notH3808 recoverH7725H413 what he soldH4465 whileH5750 both remain aliveH2416. ForH3588 the visionH2377 concerningH413 the wholeH3605 multitudeH1995 will notH3808 be revokedH7725, and because of their iniquityH5771, not one of themH376H3808 will preserveH2388 his lifeH2416.
14They have blownH8628 the trumpetH8619and madeH3559 everything readyH3605,but noH369 one goesH1980 to warH4421,forH3588 My wrathH2740 is uponH413 the wholeH3605 multitudeH1995.15The swordH2719 is outsideH2351;plagueH1698 and famineH7458 are withinH1004.ThoseH834 in the countryH7704 will dieH4191 by the swordH2719,and thoseH834 in the cityH5892 will be devouredH398by famineH7458 and plagueH1698.
16The survivorsH6412H1961 will escapeH6403and live inH413 the mountainsH2022,moaningH1993 like dovesH3123 of the valleyH1516,eachH376 for his own iniquityH5771.17EveryH3605 handH3027 will go limpH7503,and everyH3605 kneeH1290 will turn toH1980 waterH4325.18They will put onH2296 sackclothH8242,and terrorH6427H413 will overwhelm themH3680.ShameH955 will cover allH3605 their facesH6440,and allH3605 their headsH7218 will be shavedH7144.
19They will throwH7993 their silverH3701 into the streetsH2351,and their goldH2091 will seemH1961 uncleanH5079.Their silverH3701 and goldH2091 cannotH3808H3201 save themH5337in the dayH3117 of the wrathH5678 of the LORDH3068.They cannotH3808 satisfyH7646 their appetitesH5315or fillH4390 their stomachs withH4578H3808 wealth,forH3588 it becameH1961 the stumbling blockH4383that brought their iniquityH5771.
20His beautifulH6643 ornamentsH5716they transformedH7760 into prideH1347and used them to fashionH6213their vileH8441 imagesH6754 and detestable idolsH8251.ThereforeH5921H3651 I will make theseH5414into something uncleanH5079 for them.21And I will hand these things overH5414H3027as plunderH957 to foreignersH2114and lootH7998 to the wickedH7563 of the earthH776,who will defile themH2490.22I will turnH5437 My faceH6440 away from them,and they will defileH2490 My treasured placeH6845.Violent menH6530 will enterH935 it,and they will defile itH2490.
23ForgeH6213 the chainH7569,forH3588 the landH776 is fullH4390 of crimesH4941 of bloodshedH1818,and the cityH5892 is fullH4390 of violenceH2555.24So I will bringH935 the most wickedH7451 of nationsH1471to take possession ofH3423 their housesH1004.I will endH7673 the prideH1347 of the mightyH5794,and their holy placesH4720 will be profanedH2490.
25AnguishH7089 is comingH935!They will seekH1245 peaceH7965, but find noneH369.26DisasterH1943 uponH5921 disasterH1943 will comeH935,andH1961 rumorH8052 afterH413 rumorH8052.Then they will seekH1245 a visionH2377 from a prophetH5030,but instructionH8451 from the priestsH3548 will perishH6,as will counselH6098 from the eldersH2205.27The kingH4428 will mournH56,the princeH5387 will be clothedH3847 with despairH8077,and the handsH3027 of the peopleH5971 of the landH776 will trembleH926.I will dealH6213 with themH853 according to their conductH1870,and I will judge themH8199 by their own standardsH4941.
