Ezekiel 41
Berean Standard Bible
Inside the Temple
1Then the man brought meH935 intoH413 the outer sanctuaryH1964 and measuredH4058 the side pillarsH352 to be sixH8337 cubitsH520 wideH73411 on each sideH6311H8337H520H7341H168.2 2The widthH7341 of the entranceH6607 was tenH6235 cubitsH520,3 and the sidesH3802 of the entranceH6607 were fiveH2568 cubitsH5204 on eachH6311 sideH6311. He also measuredH4058 the lengthH753 of the outer sanctuary to be fortyH705 cubitsH520, and the widthH7341 to be twentyH6242 cubitsH520.5
3And he wentH935 intoH6441 the inner sanctuary and measuredH4058 the side pillarsH352 at the entranceH6607 to be twoH8147 cubitsH520 wide.6 The entranceH6607 was sixH8337 cubitsH520 wide, and the walls on each side were sevenH7651 cubitsH520 wideH7341.7 4Then he measuredH4058 the room adjacent toH413H6440 the inner sanctuaryH19648 to be twentyH6242 cubitsH520 longH753 and twentyH6242 cubitsH520 wideH7341.9 And he saidH559 to meH413, “ThisH2088 is the Most Holy PlaceH6944.10”
Outside the Temple
5Next he measuredH4058 the wallH7023 of the templeH1004 to be sixH8337 cubitsH520 thick, and the widthH7341 of eachH5439 side roomH6763 aroundH5439 the templeH1004 was fourH702 cubitsH520.11 6The side roomsH6763 were arranged oneH6763 aboveH413 anotherH6763 in three levelsH7969 of thirty rooms eachH7970H6471. There were ledgesH935 all aroundH5439 the wallH7023 of the templeH1004 to serve asH1961 supportsH270 for the side roomsH6763, so that the supportsH270 would notH3808 be fastened intoH1961 the wallH7023 of the temple itselfH1004. 7The side roomsH6763H3588 surroundingH4141 the templeH1004 widened at each successive levelH7337H5437H4605, because the structure surroundingH5439 the templeH1004 ascendedH4605 by stagesH4605 corresponding toH5921H3651 the narrowing of the temple wallH7341H1004 as it rose upwardH4605. And soH3651 a stairway went upH5927 from the lowest storyH8481 toH5921 the highestH5945, through the middle oneH8484.
8I sawH7200 that the templeH1004 had a raised baseH1363 allH5439 aroundH5439 it, forming the foundationH4145 of the side roomsH6763. It was the full length ofH4393 a rodH7070, sixH8337 longH679 cubitsH520. 9The outerH2351 wallH7023 of the side roomsH6763 was fiveH2568 cubitsH520 thickH7341, andH834 the open areaH5117 betweenH1004 the side roomsH6763 of the templeH1004 10and the outer chambersH3957 was twentyH6242 cubitsH520 wideH7341 all aroundH5439 the templeH1004. 11The side roomsH6763 opened into this areaH5117H6607, with oneH259 entranceH6607 onH1870 the northH6828H6607 and anotherH259 on the southH1864. The open areaH4725H5117 was fiveH2568 cubitsH520 wideH7341 allH5439 aroundH5439.
12Now the buildingH1146 thatH834 facedH413H6440 the temple courtyardH1508H6285 onH1870 the westH3220 was seventyH7657 cubitsH520 wideH7341,12 and the wallH7023 of the buildingH1146 was fiveH2568 cubitsH520 thickH7341 allH5439 aroundH5439, with a lengthH753 of ninetyH8673 cubitsH520.13
13Then he measuredH4058 the templeH1004 to be a hundredH3967 cubitsH520 longH753,14 and the temple courtyardH1508 and the buildingH1140 with its wallsH7023 were also a hundredH3967 cubitsH520 longH753. 14The widthH7341 of the temple courtyardH1508 on the eastH6921, including the frontH6440 of the templeH1004, was a hundredH3967 cubitsH520.
The Interior Structures
15Next he measuredH4058 the lengthH753 of the buildingH1146 facingH413H6440 the temple courtyardH1508 atH5921 the rearH310 of the temple, including its galleriesH862 on each sideH6311; it was a hundredH3967 cubitsH520. The outer sanctuaryH1964, the inner sanctuaryH6442, and the porticoesH197 facing the courtH2691, 16as well as the thresholdsH5592 and the beveledH331 windowsH2474 and the galleriesH862 all aroundH5439 with their threeH7969 levels oppositeH5048 the thresholdH5592, were overlaid withH7824 woodH6086 on all sidesH5439. They were paneled from the groundH776 toH5704 the windowsH2474, and the windowsH2474 were coveredH3680.
17In the space aboveH5921 the outside of the entranceH6607 toH5704 the innerH6442 sanctuaryH1004 onH2351 allH3605 the wallsH7023, spaced evenlyH4060 aroundH5439 the inner andH6442 outer sanctuaryH2435, 18were alternatingH8561H996H3742 carvedH6213 cherubimH3742 and palm treesH8561. Each cherubH3742 had twoH8147 facesH6440H3742: 19the faceH6440 of a manH120 was towardH413 the palm treeH8561 on one sideH6311, and the faceH6440 of a young lionH3715 was towardH413 the palm treeH8561 on the other sideH6311. They were carvedH6213 all the way aroundH413H3605H5439 the templeH1004. 20CherubimH3742 and palm treesH8561 were carvedH6213 on the wallH7023 of the outer sanctuaryH1964 from the floorH776 toH5704 the space aboveH5921 the entranceH6607.
21The outer sanctuaryH1964 had a rectangularH7251 doorframeH4201, and theH6440 doorframe of the sanctuaryH6944 was similarH4758.
22There was an altarH4196 of woodH6086 threeH7969 cubitsH520 highH1364 and twoH8147 cubitsH520 square.15 Its cornersH4740, baseH753, and sidesH7023 were of woodH6086. And the man toldH1696 meH413, “ThisH2088 is the tableH7979 thatH834 is beforeH6440 the LORDH3068.”
23Both the outer sanctuaryH1964 and the inner sanctuaryH6944 had doubleH8147 doorsH1817, 24and eachH8147 doorH1817 had twoH8147 swingingH5437 panelsH1817. There were twoH8147 panelsH1817 for oneH259 doorH1817 and twoH8147H1817 for the otherH312. 25CherubimH3742 and palm treesH8561 like thoseH834 on the wallsH7023 were carvedH6213 onH413 the doorsH1817 of the outer sanctuaryH1964, and there was a woodenH6086 canopyH5646 outsideH2351, onH413 the frontH6440 of the porticoH197. 26There were beveledH331 windowsH2474 and palm treesH8561 onH413 the sidewallsH3802 of the porticoH197. The side roomsH6763 of the templeH1004 also had canopiesH5646.
