The Prince’s Offerings

“This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘The gateH8179 of the innerH6442 courtH2691 that facesH6437 eastH6921 must beH1961 kept shutH5462 during the sixH8337 daysH3117 of workH4639, but on the SabbathH7676 dayH3117 and on the dayH3117 of the New MoonH2320 it shall be openedH6605. 2The princeH5387 is to enterH935 from the outsideH2351 throughH1870 the porticoH197 of the gatewayH8179 and standH5975 byH5921 the gatepostH4201H8179, while the priestsH3548 sacrificeH6213 his burnt offeringsH5930 and peace offeringsH8002. He is to bow in worshipH7812 atH5921 the thresholdH4670 of the gateH8179 and then departH3318, but the gateH8179 must notH3808 be shutH5462 untilH5704 eveningH6153. 3On the SabbathsH7676 and New MoonsH2320 the peopleH5971 of the landH776 are also to bow in worshipH7812 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 at the entranceH6607 to thatH1931 gatewayH8179.

The burnt offeringH5930 thatH834 the princeH5387 presentsH7126 to the LORDH3068 on the SabbathH7676 dayH3117 shall be sixH8337 unblemishedH8549 male lambsH3532 and an unblemishedH8549 ramH352. 5The grain offeringH4503 with the ramH352 shall be one ephahH374,1 and the grain offeringH4503 with the lambsH3532 shall beH4991 as much as he is ableH3027, along with a hinH1969 of oilH8081 per ephahH374. 6On the dayH3117 of the New MoonH2320 he shall offer a youngH1121H1241, unblemishedH8549 bullH6499, sixH8337 lambsH3532, and a ramH352 without blemishH8549. 7He is to provideH6213 a grain offeringH4503 of an ephahH374 with the bullH6499, an ephahH374 with the ramH352, and as muchH834 as he is ableH5381H3027 with the lambsH3532, along with a hinH1969 of oilH8081 per ephahH374. 8When the princeH5387 entersH935, he shall go inH935 throughH1870 the porticoH197 of the gatewayH8179, and he shall go outH3318 the same wayH1870.

When the peopleH5971 of the landH776 comeH935 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 at the appointed feastsH4150, whoever entersH935 byH1870 the northH6828 gateH8179 to worshipH7812 must go outH3318 byH1870 the southH5045 gateH8179, and whoever entersH935 byH1870 the southH5045 gateH8179 must go outH3318 byH1870 the northH6828 gateH8179. No oneH3808 is to returnH7725 throughH1870 the gateH8179 by whichH834 he enteredH935, butH3588 each must go outH3318 by the opposite gateH5227.

When the people enterH935, the princeH5387 shall go inH935 with themH8432, and when they leaveH3318, he shall leaveH3318. 11At the festivalsH2282 and appointed feastsH4150, the grain offeringH4503 shall beH1961 an ephahH374 with a bullH6499, an ephahH374 with a ramH352, and as much as one is ableH3027 to giveH4991 with the lambsH3532, along with a hinH1969 of oilH8081 per ephahH374.

WhenH3588 the princeH5387 makesH6213 a freewill offeringH5071 to the LORDH3068, whether a burnt offeringH5930 orH176 a peace offeringH8002, the gateH8179 facingH6437 eastH6921 must be openedH6605 for him. He is to offerH6213 his burnt offeringH5930 or peace offeringH8002 just asH834 he doesH6213 on the SabbathH7676 dayH3117. Then he shall go outH3318, and the gateH8179 must be closedH5462 afterH310 he goes outH3318.

And you shall provideH6213 an unblemishedH8549 year-oldH1121H8141 lambH3532 as a dailyH3117 burnt offeringH5930 to the LORDH3068; you are to offer itH6213 every morningH1242. 14You are also to provideH6213 with itH5921 every morningH1242 a grain offeringH4503H1242 of a sixthH8345 of an ephahH3742 with a thirdH7992 of a hinH1969 of oilH80813 to moistenH7450 the fine flourH5560—a grain offeringH4503 to the LORDH3068. This is a permanentH5769H8548 statuteH2708. 15Thus they shall provideH6213 the lambH3532, the grain offeringH4503, and the oilH8081 every morningH1242 as a regularH8548 burnt offeringH5930.’

This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘IfH3588 the princeH5387 givesH5414 a giftH4979 to anyH376 of his sonsH1121 as an inheritanceH5159, itH1931 will belong to his descendantsH1121. It will becomeH1961 their propertyH272H1931 by inheritanceH5159. 17But ifH3588 he givesH5414 a giftH4979 from his inheritanceH5159 to oneH259 of his servantsH5650, it will belong toH1961 that servant untilH5704 the yearH8141 of freedomH1865; then it will revertH7725 to the princeH5387. His inheritanceH5159 belongs onlyH389 to his sonsH1121; it shall beH1961 theirs.

The princeH5387 must notH3808 takeH3947 any of the inheritanceH5159 of the peopleH5971 by evicting themH3238 from their propertyH272. He is to provide an inheritanceH5157 for his sonsH1121 from his own propertyH272, so thatH4616 noneH3808H376 of My peopleH5971 will be displacedH6327 from his propertyH272.’”

The Courts for Boiling and Baking

Then the man brought meH935 through the entranceH3996 atH5921 the sideH3802 of the gateH8179 intoH413 the holyH6944H413 chambersH3957 facingH6437 northH6828, which belonged to the priestsH3548, and he showed meH2009 a placeH4725 thereH8033 at the far westernH3220 endH3411 20and saidH559 to meH413, “ThisH2088 is the placeH4725 whereH834 the priestsH3548 shall boilH1310H8033 the guilt offeringH817 and the sin offeringH2403, and whereH834 they shall bakeH644 the grain offeringH4503, so that they do notH1115 bring themH3318 intoH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691 and transmit holinessH6942 to the peopleH5971.”

Then he brought meH3318 intoH413 the outerH2435 courtH2691 and led me around toH5674H413 itsH2691 fourH702 cornersH4740, and I sawH2009 a separate courtH2691 in each of itsH2691H4740 cornersH4740. 22In the fourH702 cornersH4740 of the outer courtH2691 there were enclosedH7000 courtsH2691, each fortyH705 cubits longH753 and thirtyH7970 cubits wideH7341.4 Each of the fourH702 corner areasH7106 had the sameH259 dimensionsH4060. 23AroundH5439 the insideH5439 of each of the fourH702 courts was a row of masonryH2905 with ovensH4018 builtH6213 at the base ofH8478 the wallsH2918 on all sidesH5439.

And he saidH559 to meH413, “TheseH428 are the kitchensH1004H1310 whereH834 those who ministerH8334 at the templeH1004 will cookH1310H8033 the sacrificesH2077 offered by the peopleH5971.”
