The Glory of the LORD Returns to the Temple

1Then the man brought meH1980 back toH413 the gateH8179 thatH834 facesH6437H1870 eastH6921, 2and I sawH2009 the gloryH3519 of the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 comingH935 fromH1870 the eastH6921. His voiceH6963 was like the roarH6963 of manyH7227 watersH4325, and the earthH776 shoneH215 with His gloryH3519.

3The visionH4758 I sawH7200 was like the visionH4758 I had seenH7200 when He cameH9351 to destroyH7843 the cityH5892 and like the visionsH4759 I had seenH7200 byH413 the RiverH5104 KebarH3529. I fellH5307 facedownH413H6440, 4and the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 enteredH935H413 the templeH1004 throughH1870 the gateH8179 facingH6440H1870 eastH6921. 5Then the SpiritH7307 lifted me upH5375 and brought meH935 intoH413 the innerH6442H2009 courtH2691, and the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 filledH4390 the templeH1004.

6While the manH376 wasH1961 standingH5975 beside meH681, I heardH8085 someone speakingH1696 to meH413 from inside the templeH1004, 7and He saidH559 to meH413, “SonH1121 of manH120, this is the placeH4725 of My throneH3678 and the placeH4725 for the solesH3709 of My feetH7272, whereH834 I will dwellH7931H8033 amongH8432 the IsraelitesH1121 foreverH3478H5769. The houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 will neverH3808 againH5750 defileH2930 My holyH6944 nameH8034—neither theyH1992 nor their kingsH4428—by their prostitutionH2184 and by the funeral offeringsH62972 for their kingsH4428 at their deathsH1116.3 8When they placedH5414 their thresholdH5592 next toH854 My thresholdH5592 and their doorpostsH4201 besideH681 My doorpostsH4201, with only a wallH7023 between Me and themH996, they defiledH2930 My holyH6944 nameH8034 by the abominationsH8441 they committedH6213. Therefore I have consumedH3615 themH853 in My angerH639. 9NowH6258 let them removeH7368 far from MeH4480 their prostitutionH2184 and the funeral offeringsH6297 for their kingsH4428, and I will dwellH7931 among themH8432 foreverH5769.

10As for youH859, sonH1121 of manH120, describeH5046 the templeH1004 to theH1004 people of IsraelH3478, so that they may be ashamedH3637 of their iniquitiesH5771. Let them measureH4058 the planH8508, 11and ifH518 they are ashamedH36374 of allH3605 they have doneH6213, then make knownH3045 to themH853 the designH6699 of the templeH1004—its arrangementH8498 and its exitsH4161 and entrancesH4126—its wholeH3605 designH6699 along with allH3605 its statutesH2708, formsH6699, andH3605 lawsH8451. Write it downH3789 in their sightH5869, so that they may keepH8104 its completeH3605 designH6699 andH853 allH3605 its statutesH2708 and may carry them outH6213.

12ThisH2063 is the lawH8451 of the templeH1004: AllH3605 its surroundingH5439 territoryH1366 onH5921 topH7218 of the mountainH2022 will be most holyH6944. YesH2009, thisH2063 is the lawH8451 of the templeH1004.

The Altar of Sacrifice

13TheseH428 are the measurementsH4060 of the altarH4196 in long cubitsH5205 (a cubitH520 and a handbreadthH2948): Its gutterH2436 shall be a cubit deepH520 and a cubitH520 wideH7341, with a rimH1366H413 of oneH259 spanH22396 aroundH5439 its edgeH8193.

And thisH2088 is the heightH1354 of the altarH4196: 14The space from the gutterH2436 on the groundH776 toH5704 the lowerH8481 ledgeH5835 shall be twoH8147 cubitsH520, and the ledge oneH259 cubitH520 wideH7341.7 The space from the smallerH6996 ledgeH5835 toH5704 the largerH1419 ledgeH5835 shall be fourH702 cubitsH520, and the ledge one cubitH520 wideH7341.8

15The altar hearthH2025 shall be fourH702 cubitsH520 high, and fourH702 hornsH7161 shall project upwardH4605 from the hearthH741. 16The altar hearthH741 shall be squareH7251 atH413 its fourH702 cornersH7253, twelveH8147H6240 cubits longH753 and twelveH8147H6240 cubits wideH7341.9 17The ledgeH5835 shall also be squareH413H702H7253, fourteenH702H6240 cubits longH753 and fourteenH702H6240 cubits wideH7341,10 with a rimH1366 of halfH2677 a cubitH52011 and a gutterH2436 of a cubitH520 all aroundH5439 itH853. The steps of the altarH4609 shall faceH6437 eastH6921.”

18Then He saidH559 to meH413: “SonH1121 of manH120, this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘TheseH428 are the statutesH2708 for the altarH4196 on the dayH3117 it is constructedH6213, so that burnt offeringsH5930 may be sacrificedH5927 on itH5921 and bloodH1818 may be splatteredH2236 on itH5921: 19You are to giveH5414 a youngH1121 bullH6499 from the herdH1241 as a sin offeringH2403 toH413 the LeviticalH3881 priestsH3548 whoH834 are ofH1992 the familyH2233 of ZadokH6659, who approachH7138 MeH413 to minister before MeH8334, declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069. 20You are to takeH3947 some of its bloodH1818 and putH5414 it onH5921 the fourH702 horns of theH7161 altar, onH413 the fourH702 cornersH6438 of the ledgeH5835H413, and all aroundH5439 the rimH1366; thus you will cleanseH2398 the altar and make atonement for itH3722. 21Then you are to take awayH3947 the bullH6499 for the sin offeringH2403 and burn itH8313 in the appointed partH4662 of the temple areaH1004 outsideH2351 the sanctuaryH4720.

22On the secondH8145 dayH3117 you are to presentH7126 an unblemishedH8549 male goatH8163H5795 as a sin offeringH2403, and the altarH4196 is to be cleansedH2398 as it wasH834H2398 with the bullH6499. 23When you have finishedH3615 the purificationH2398, you are to presentH7126 a youngH1121H1241, unblemishedH8549 bullH6499 and an unblemishedH8549 ramH352 fromH4480 the flockH6629. 24You must present themH7126 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068; the priestsH3548 are to sprinkleH7993 saltH4417 on themH5921 and sacrificeH5927 themH853 as a burnt offeringH5930 to the LORDH3068.

25For sevenH7651 daysH3117 you are to provideH6213 a male goatH8163 dailyH3117 for a sin offeringH2403; you are also to provideH6213 a young bullH6499H1121H1241 and a ramH352 fromH4480 the flockH6629, both unblemishedH8549. 26For sevenH7651 daysH3117 the priests are to make atonementH3722 for the altarH4196 and cleanse itH2891; so they shall consecrateH4390 itH3027.12 27At the endH3615 of these daysH3117H1961, from the eighthH8066 dayH3117 onH1973, the priestsH3548 are to presentH6213 your burnt offeringsH5930 and peace offeringsH8002 onH5921 the altarH4196. Then I will accept youH7521, declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069.’”
