Ezekiel 25

A Prophecy against Ammon

1Then the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 to meH413, sayingH559, 2“SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 your faceH6440 againstH413 the AmmonitesH1121H5983 and prophesyH5012 against themH5921. 3TellH559 the AmmonitesH1121H5983 to hearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LordH136 GODH3069, for this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 you exclaimedH559, “AhaH1889!” when My sanctuaryH4720 was profanedH2490, when the landH127 of IsraelH3478 was laid wasteH8074, andH413 when the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 wentH1980 into exileH1473, 4thereforeH3651 I will indeedH2005 give youH5414 as a possessionH4181 to the peopleH1121 of the EastH6924. They will set upH3427 their campsH2918 and pitchH5414 their tentsH4908 among you. TheyH1992 will eatH398 your fruitH6529H1992 and drinkH8354 your milkH2461. 5I will makeH5414 RabbahH7237 a pastureH5116 for camelsH1581, andH853 AmmonH59831 a resting place forH4769 sheepH6629. Then you will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068.’

6ForH3588 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 you clappedH4222 your handsH3027 and stompedH7554 your feetH7272 and rejoicedH8055 overH413 the landH127 of IsraelH3478 with a heartH5315 fullH3605 of contemptH7589, 7thereforeH3651 I will indeedH2005 stretch outH5186 My handH3027 against youH5921 and give youH5414 as plunderH897 to the nationsH1471. I will cut you offH3772 fromH4480 the peoplesH5971 and exterminate youH6 fromH4480 the countriesH776. I will destroy youH8045, and you will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068.’

A Prophecy against Moab

8This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 MoabH4124 and SeirH81652 saidH559, “LookH2009, the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 is like allH3605 the other nationsH1471,” 9thereforeH3651 I will indeedH2005 exposeH6605 the flankH3802 of MoabH4124 beginning with its frontierH7097 citiesH5892—Beth-jeshimothH1020, Baal-meonH1186, and KiriathaimH7156—the gloryH6643 of the landH776. 10I will give itH5414 along withH5921 the AmmonitesH1121H5983 as a possessionH4181 to the peopleH1121 of the EastH6924, so thatH4616 the AmmonitesH1121H5983 will no longerH3808 be rememberedH2142 among the nationsH1471. 11So I will executeH6213 judgmentsH8201 on MoabH4124, and they will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068.’

A Prophecy against Edom

12This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 EdomH123 actedH6213 vengefullyH5358H5359 against the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, and inH5358 so doing incurred grievous guiltH816, 13thereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: I will stretch outH5186 My handH3027 againstH5921 EdomH123 and cut offH3772 from itH4480 both manH120 and beastH929. I will makeH5414 it a wastelandH2723, and from TemanH8487 to DedanH1719 they will fallH5307 by the swordH2719. 14I will takeH5414 My vengeanceH5360 on EdomH123 by the handH3027 of My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and they will dealH6213 with EdomH123 according to My angerH639 and wrathH2534. Then they will knowH3045 My vengeanceH5360, declaresH5002 the LordH136 GODH3069.’

A Prophecy against the Philistines

15This is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 the PhilistinesH6430 actedH6213 in vengeanceH5360, takingH5358 vengeanceH5359 with maliceH7589 of soulH5315 to destroyH4889 Judah with ancientH5769 hostilityH342, 16thereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LordH136 GODH3069 saysH559: BeholdH2005, I will stretch outH5186 My handH3027 againstH5921 the PhilistinesH6430, and I will cut offH3772 the CherethitesH3774 and destroyH6 the remnantH7611 alongH2348 the coastH3220. 17I will executeH6213 greatH1419 vengeanceH5360 against them with furiousH2534 reproofH8433. Then they will knowH3045 thatH3588 IH589 am the LORDH3068, when I layH5414 My vengeanceH5360 upon them.’”
