Ezekiel 20:21-24
21But the children rebelledH4784 against me; they walkedH1980 not in my statutesH2708, neither keptH8104 mine ordinancesH4941 to do them, which if a manH120 do, he shall live in them; they profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676. Then I saidH559 I would pourH8210 out my wrathH2534 upon them, to accomplish my angerH639 against them in the wildernessH4057. 22Nevertheless I withdrew my handH3027, and wrought for my name’sH8034 sakeH4616, that it should not be profanedH2490 in the sight of the nationsH1471, in whose sight I broughtH3318 them forthH3318. 23Moreover I sware unto them in the wildernessH4057, that I would scatterH2219 them among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219 them through the countries; 24because they had not executed mine ordinancesH4941, but had rejectedH3988 my statutesH2708, and had profanedH2490 my sabbathsH7676, and their eyesH5869 wereH1961 after their fathers’H1 idolsH1544.
