7And if the manH376 like not to takeH3947 his brother’sH251 wifeH2994, then his brother’sH251 wifeH2994 shall goH5927 up to the gateH8179 unto the eldersH2205, and sayH559, My husband’sH2993 brotherH251 refuseth to raiseH6965 up unto his brotherH251 a nameH8034 in IsraelH3478; he will not perform the duty of a husband’sH2993 brotherH251 unto me. 8Then the eldersH2205 of his cityH5892 shall callH7121 him, and speakH1696 unto him: and if he standH5975, and sayH559, I like not to takeH3947 her; 9then shall his brother’sH251 wifeH2994 come unto him in the presenceH6440 of the eldersH2205, and loose his shoe from off his footH7272, and spitH3417 in his faceH6440; and she shall answerH6030 and sayH559, So shall it be done unto the manH376 that doth not buildH1129 up his brother’sH251 houseH1004.
