Deuteronomy 22:23-29
23If there beH1961 a damsel that is a virginH1330 betrothedH781 unto a husbandH376, and a manH376 findH4672 her in the cityH5892, and lieH7901 with her; 24then ye shall bringH3318 them both out unto the gateH8179 of that cityH5892, and ye shall stoneH68 them to deathH4191 with stonesH68; the damsel, because she criedH6817 not, being in the cityH5892; and the manH376, because he hath humbled his neighbor’sH7453 wifeH802: so thou shalt putH4191 away the evilH7451 from the midstH7130 of thee.
25But if the manH376 findH4672 the damsel that is betrothedH781 in the fieldH7704, and the manH376 force her, and lieH7901 with her; then the manH376 onlyH905 that layH7901 with her shall dieH4191: 26but unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sinH2399 worthy of deathH4194: for as when a manH376 riseth against his neighborH7453, and slayeth him, even soH3651 is this matterH1697; 27for he foundH4672 her in the fieldH7704, the betrothedH781 damsel criedH6817, and there was none to saveH3467 her.
28If a manH376 findH4672 a damsel that is a virginH1330, that is not betrothedH781, and layH7901 hold on her, and lieH7901 with her, and they be foundH4672; 29then the manH376 that layH7901 with her shall giveH5414 unto the damsel’s fatherH1 fiftyH2572 shekels of silverH3701, and she shall beH1961 his wifeH802, because he hath humbled her; he may not putH5414 her awayH7971 all his daysH3117.
