Deuteronomy 21:10-17
10When thou goest forthH3318 to battleH4421 against thine enemiesH341, and Jehovah thy GodH430 delivereth them into thy handsH3027, and thou carriest them away captiveH7617, 11and seest among the captivesH7633 a beautifulH3303 womanH802, and thou hast a desire unto her, and wouldest takeH3947 her to thee to wifeH802; 12then thou shalt bringH935 her home to thy houseH1004; and she shall shaveH1548 her headH7218, and pare her nails; 13and she shall put the raiment of her captivityH7633 from off her, and shall remainH3427 in thy houseH1004, and bewail her fatherH1 and her motherH517 a full monthH3391: and after that thou shalt goH935 in unto her, and beH1961 her husbandH1167, and she shall beH1961 thy wifeH802. 14And it shall beH1961, if thou have no delightH2654 in her, then thou shalt let her goH7971 whither she will; but thou shalt not sellH4376 her at all for moneyH3701, thou shalt not deal with her as a slave, because thou hast humbled her.
15If a manH376 have twoH8147 wivesH802, the oneH259 beloved, and the other hatedH8130, and they have borneH3205 him children, both the beloved and the hatedH8130; and if the first-born sonH1121 beH1961 hers that wasH1961 hatedH8130; 16then it shall beH1961, in the dayH3117 that he causeth his sonsH1121 to inheritH5157 that which he hath, that he may not make the sonH1121 of the beloved the first-born before the sonH1121 of the hatedH8130, who is the first-born: 17but he shall acknowledgeH5234 the first-born, the sonH1121 of the hatedH8130, by givingH5414 him a double portion of all that he hath; for he is the beginning of his strengthH202; the rightH4941 of the first-born is his.
