Psalm 75

Revised Version 1895

For the Chief Musician; set to Al-tashheth. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song.

1We give thanks unto thee, O God; we give thanks, for thy name is near: men tell of thy wondrous works.
2When I shall find the set time, I will judge uprightly.
3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have setH4150 upH589 the pillars of it. Selah
4I said unto the arrogant, Deal notH776 arrogantly: and to the wicked, Lift notH776 upH3605 the horn:
5LiftH7311 notH408 upH7311 your hornH7161 on highH7311; speakH559 notH408 with a stiff neck.
6For neitherH408 from the east, norH408 from the west, norH408 yet from the south, cometh liftingH7311 upH7311.
7But GodH3808 is the judge: he putteth downH3588 one, and lifteth upH7311 anotherH3808.
8For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine foameth; it is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the sameH2088: surelyH3588 the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
9But I will declare for everH2088, I will sing praisesH3068 to the GodH3068 of Jacob.
10AllH5769 the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted upH589.
