Psalm 88
Revised Version 1895
A Song, a Psalm of the sons of Korah; for the Chief Musician; set to Mahalath Leannoth. Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite.
3For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.
5Cast offH3381 among the dead, like the slain that lieH1961 in the grave, whom thou rememberest noH369 moreH369; and they are cut offH3381 from thy hand.
8Thou hast put mine acquaintance farH5921 from meH5921; thou hast madeH3605 meH5921 an abomination unto them: I am shut upH5921, and I cannot come forth.
9MineH4480 eye wasteth awayH4480 by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O LORD, I have spreadH3318 forthH3318 my hands unto thee.
10Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall they that are deceased arise and praise thee? Selah
11Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in Destruction?
12Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
15I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth upH4480: whileH5315 I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
