Psalm 20

Revised Version 1895

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

1The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;
2Send thee helpH6030 from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah
4Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill allH3605 thy counsel.
5WeH3605 will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our GodH5414 weH3605 will setH5414 upH5414 our banners: the LORD fulfillH4390 allH3605 thy petitions.
6Now know I that the LORDH3068 saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the savingH3444 strength of his right hand.
7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but weH3588 will makeH3045 mention of the name of the LORDH3068 our GodH3068.
8They are bowed downH428 and fallen: but weH587 are risen, and stand upright.
9Save, LORD: let the King answer us when weH587 call.
