Psalm 80
Revised Version 1895
For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph.
1Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest JosephH413 like a flock; thou that sittest uponH413 the cherubim, shine forth.
5Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
9Thou preparedst room before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land.
10The mountains were coveredH4390 with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like cedars of God.
12Why hast thou broken downH7971 herH413 fences, soH7971 that allH5704 they which pass by the wayH7971 do pluck herH413?
14Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,
15And the stock whichH6635 thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
17Let thy hand be uponH784 the manH784 of thy right hand, uponH784 the son of manH784 whom thou madest strong for thyself.
