29 1And after twistingG4120 together a crownG4735 of thornsG173, they putG2007 it on His headG2776, and put a 2reedG2563 in His rightG1188 handG1188; and they kneltG1120 downG1120 beforeG1715 Him and mockedG1702 Him, sayingG3004, “3HailG5463, KingG935 of the JewsG2453!” 30And 4they spitG1716 on Him, and tookG2983 the reedG2563 and beatG5180 Him on the headG2776. 31 5And afterG3753 they had mockedG1702 Him, they tookG1562 the cloakG5511 offG1562 Him and putG1746 His own garmentsG2440 back on Him, and ledG520 Him awayG520 to crucifyG4717 Him.

32 6As they were comingG1831 outG1831, they foundG2147 a manG444 ofG2956 7CyreneG2956 namedG3686 SimonG4613, 8whomG3778 they compelledG29 to carryG142 His 9crossG4716.

38AtG5119 thatG5119 timeG5119 twoG1417 20rebelsG3027 were being crucifiedG4717 with Him, oneG1520 on the rightG1188 and oneG1520 on the leftG2176. 39And thoseG3588 passingG3899 by were 21speakingG987 abusivelyG987 to Him, 22shakingG2795 their headsG2776, 40and sayingG3004, “23You who are going to destroyG2647 the templeG3485 and rebuildG3618 it in threeG5140 daysG2250, saveG4982 YourselfG4572! 24IfG1487 You are the SonG5207 of GodG2316, comeG2597 downG2597 from the crossG4716.” 41In the sameG3668 wayG3668 the chiefG749 priestsG749 alsoG2532, along with the scribesG1122 and eldersG4245, were mockingG1702 Him and sayingG3004, 42“25He savedG4982 othersG243; 26He cannotG1410 G3756 saveG4982 HimselfG1438! 27He is the KingG935 of IsraelG2474; let Him nowG3568 comeG2597 downG2597 from the crossG4716, and we will believeG4100 in Him. 43 28He has trustedG3982 in GodG2316; let GodG2316 rescueG4506 Him nowG3568, ifG1487 He 29takesG2309 pleasureG2309 in Him; for He saidG3004, ‘I amG1510 the SonG5207 of GodG2316.’”
