2Ohמִֽי־mi-H4310that I hadיִתְּנֵ֣נִיyi.te.Ne.niH5414in the desertבַמִּדְבָּ֗רva.mid.BarH4057A travelers’אֹֽרְחִ֔ים'o.re.ChimH732lodgingH4411placeמְלוֹן֙me.lOnH4411;So that I might leaveוְאֶֽעֶזְבָה֙ve.'e.'ez.VahH5800my peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971And goוְאֵלְכָ֖הve.'e.le.KhahH1980awayH4480from them!For allכֻלָּם֙khu.LamH3605of them areadulterersמְנָ֣אֲפִ֔יםme.Na.'a.FimH5003,An assemblyעֲצֶ֖רֶת'a.Tze.retH6116oftreacherousבֹּגְדִֽים׃bo.ge.DimH898peopleH898.

3“Theybendוַֽיַּדְרְכ֤וּvai.yad.re.KhuH1869their tonguesלְשׁוֹנָם֙le.sho.NamH3956liketheir bowsקַשְׁתָּ֣םkash.TamH7198;Liesשֶׁ֔קֶרShe.kerH8267and not truthלֶאֱמוּנָ֖הle.'e.mu.NahH530prevailגָּבְר֣וּga.ve.RuH1396in the landבָאָ֑רֶץva.'A.retzH776; For theyproceedיָצָ֛אוּya.Tza.'uH3318from evilH7463to evilH7463, And theydo not knowיָדָ֖עוּya.Da.'uH3045Me,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

4“Let everyoneH376be on guardהִשָּׁמֵ֔רוּhi.sha.Me.ruH8104againstH4480his neighborH7453, Anddo not trustתִּבְטָ֑חוּtiv.Ta.chuH982anyכָּל־kol-H3605brotherאָ֖ח'achH251;Becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588everyכָל־khol-H3605brotherאָח֙'achH251utterlyעָק֣וֹבa.KovH6117betraysיַעְקֹ֔בya'.KoH6117,And everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605neighborH7453goesH1980aboutH1980as a slandererרָכִ֥ילra.KhilH7400.

5Everyoneוְאִ֤ישׁve.'IshH376deceivesH8524his neighborבְּרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙be.re.'E.huH7453And does not speakיְדַבֵּ֑רוּye.da.Be.ruH1696the truthוֶאֱמֶ֖תve.'e.MetH571.They have taughtלִמְּד֧וּli.me.DuH3925their tongueלְשׁוֹנָ֛םle.sho.NamH3956to speakדַּבֶּר־da.ber-H1696liesשֶׁ֖קֶרShe.kerH8267; Theywearyנִלְאֽוּ׃nil.'UH3811themselves committingH5753wrongdoingH5753.

6Yourdwellingשִׁבְתְּךָ֖shiv.te.KhaH3427is in the midstבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of deceitמִרְמָ֑הmir.MahH4820;Through deceitבְּמִרְמָ֛הbe.mir.MahH4820theyrefuseמֵאֲנ֥וּme.'a.NuH3985to knowדַֽעַת־da.'at-H3045Me,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LordH3068.

7Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009,I will refineצוֹרְפָ֖םtzor.FamH6884them andputH974them toH974theH974testוּבְחַנְתִּ֑יםu.ve.chan.TimH974; Forwhatאֵ֣יךְ'eikhH349elsecan I doאֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה'e.'e.SehH6213,becauseמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of My peopleעַמִּֽי׃'a.MiH5971?

8Theirtongueלְשׁוֹנָ֖םle.sho.NamH3956is a deadlyשָׁח֛וּטsho.chetH7819arrowחֵ֥ץchetzH2671;It speaksדִבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696deceitמִרְמָ֣הmir.MahH4820;With his mouthבְּפִ֗יוbe.FivH6310onespeaksיְדַבֵּ֔רye.da.BerH1696peaceשָׁל֤וֹםsha.LomH7965to his neighborרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙re.'E.huH7453,But inwardlyוּבְקִרְבּ֖וֹu.ve.kir.BoH7130hesetsיָשִׂ֥יםya.SimH7760an ambushאָרְבּֽוֹ׃'a.re.BoH696for him.
