17ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: “Considerהִתְבּֽוֹנְנ֛וּhit.bo.NuH995and callוְקִרְא֥וּve.kir.'UH7121for themourningH6969womenH6969,that they may comeוּתְבוֹאֶ֑ינָהu.te.vo.'Ei.nahH935;And sendשִׁלְח֖וּshil.ChuH7971for theskillfulהַחֲכָמ֥וֹתha.cha.kha.MotH2450womenH2450,that they may comeוְתָבֽוֹאנָה׃ve.ta.Vo.nahH935!

18Have them hurryוּתְמַהֵ֕רְנָהu.te.ma.He.re.nahH4116and takeוְתִשֶּׂ֥נָהve.ti.Se.nahH5375upH5375a wailingH5092for us, So that oureyesעֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙'ei.Nei.nuH5869may shedוְתֵרַ֤דְנָהve.te.Rad.nahH3381tearsדִּמְעָ֔הdim.'AhH1832,And our eyelidsוְעַפְעַפֵּ֖ינוּve.'af.'a.Pei.nuH6079flowיִזְּלוּ־yi.ze.lu-H5140with waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

19For a voiceק֥וֹלKolH6963ofwailingH5092is heardH8085from Zionמִצִּיּ֖וֹןmi.tzi.YonH6726: ‘Howאֵ֣יךְ'eikhH349devastatedשֻׁדָּ֑דְנוּshu.Da.de.nuH7703we are!We are putבֹּ֤שְׁנֽוּBo.she.nuH954toH954greatמְאֹד֙me.'OdH3966shameH954, For we haveabandonedעָזַ֣בְנוּ'a.Zav.nuH5800the landאָ֔רֶץ'A.retzH776BecauseH3588they have tornH7993downהִשְׁלִ֖יכוּhish.Li.khuH7993our homesמִשְׁכְּנוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ סmish.ke.no.Tei.nuH4908.’”

20NowH3588hearשְׁמַ֤עְנָהshe.Ma'.nahH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, youwomenנָשִׁים֙na.ShimH802,And let your earsאָזְנְכֶ֖ם'a.ze.ne.KhemH241receiveוְתִקַּ֥חve.ti.KachH3947the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of His mouthפִּ֑יוPivH6310;Teachוְלַמֵּ֤דְנָהve.la.Me.de.nahH3925your daughtersבְנֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ve.no.tei.KhemH1323wailingנֶ֔הִיNe.hiH5092, And have everywomanוְאִשָּׁ֥הve.'i.ShahH802teachher neighborרְעוּתָ֖הּre.'u.TahH7468a songH7015ofH7015mourningH7015.

21Fordeathמָ֙וֶת֙ma.vetH4194has comeעָ֤לָה'A.lahH5927upH5927through our windowsבְּחַלּוֹנֵ֔ינוּbe.cha.lo.Nei.nuH2474;It has enteredבָּ֖אba'H935our palacesבְּאַרְמְנוֹתֵ֑ינוּbe.'ar.me.no.Tei.nuH759To eliminateלְהַכְרִ֤יתle.hakh.RitH3772thechildrenעוֹלָל֙o.LalH5768from the streetsמִח֔וּץmi.ChutzH2351,The youngבַּחוּרִ֖יםba.chu.RimH970menH970from the publicH7339squaresH7339.

22Speakדַּבֵּ֗רda.BerH1696, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the LordH3068saysנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002: ‘The corpsesנִבְלַ֣תniv.LatH5038of peopleהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120will fallוְנָֽפְלָה֙ve.na.fe.LahH5307like dungכְּדֹ֖מֶןke.Do.menH1828on the openפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704,And like the sheafוּכְעָמִ֛ירu.khe.'a.MirH5995afterמֵאַחֲרֵ֥יme.'a.cha.ReiH4480 H310the reaperהַקֹּצֵ֖רha.ko.TzerH7114,But noH369oneH369will gatherמְאַסֵּֽף׃ סme.'a.SefH622them.’”

23ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the LordH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Let noאַל־'al-H408wiseחָכָם֙cha.KhamH2450manH2450boastH1984of his wisdomבְּחָכְמָת֔וֹbe.cha.khe.ma.ToH2451,norוְאַל־ve.'al-H408let themightyהַגִּבּ֖וֹרha.gi.BorH1368manH1368boastH1984of his mightבִּגְבֽוּרָת֑וֹbig.vu.ra.ToH1369,norאַל־'al-H408arichעָשִׁ֖יר'a.ShirH6223manH6223boastH1984of his richesבְּעָשְׁרֽוֹ׃be.'a.she.RoH6239;

24but let the one who boastsיִתְהַלֵּ֣לyit.ha.LelH1984boastהַמִּתְהַלֵּ֗לha.mit.ha.LelH1984of thisH2088,that he understandsהַשְׂכֵּל֮has.KelH7919and knowsוְיָדֹ֣עַve.ya.Do.a'H3045Me, that I am the LordH3068whoexercisesעֹ֥שֶׂה'O.sehH6213mercyחֶ֛סֶדChe.sedH2617,justiceמִשְׁפָּ֥טmish.PatH4941,and righteousnessוּצְדָקָ֖הu.tze.da.KahH6666on the earthבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776; for Idelightחָפַ֖צְתִּיcha.Fatz.tiH2654in theseH428thingsבְאֵ֥לֶּהve.'E.lehH428,”declaresH5002the LordH3068.
