Jeremiah 9:17-25

17Thus saith Jehovahofhosts:Consider,andcallforthemourning women,thattheymaycomeH3381,andsendfortheskilful women,thattheymaycomeH3381;

18andletthemmakeH8085haste,andtakeupawailingH5092forus,thatoureyesmayrundownwithtears,andoureyelids pourforthwaters.

19ForavoiceofwailingH5092isheardH8085outofZion,Howarewespoiled, sorelyputtoshame!Forwehaveforsakentheland,fortheyhavecastdownourdwellings.

20HearthenthewordofJehovah, ye women,andletyourear receivethewordofhismouth,andteachyourdaughters wailing,andeachonehercompanion lamentation.

21Fordeathiscomeupthroughourwindows,isenteredintoourpalaces,tocutoffthechildrenfromthestreet,theyoungmenH120fromthebroadways.

22Speak,ThusH3541saithJehovah: Yea,thecarcasesofmenH1368shallfallasdung upontheopen field,andasthehandful afterthereaper,andthereshallbenonetogather.

23Thus saithJehovah: LetnotthewiseH7919gloryinhiswisdom,neitherletthemighty gloryinhismight; letnottherich gloryinhisriches:

24butlethimthatglorieth gloryinthis,thatheunderstandethandknowethme,thatI[am]Jehovah,whoexercise loving-kindness,judgment,andrighteousnessintheearth;forinthesethingsIdelight, saithJehovah.

25Behold, daysarecoming, saith Jehovah,whenIwillvisitall[themthatare] circumcisedwiththeuncircumcisedH6189;
