14“Declareהַגִּ֤ידוּha.Gi.duH5046in Egyptבְמִצְרַ֙יִם֙ve.mitz.Ra.yimH4714and proclaimוְהַשְׁמִ֣יעוּve.hash.Mi.'uH8085inMigdolבְמִגְדּ֔וֹלve.mig.DolH4024,Proclaimוְהַשְׁמִ֥יעוּve.hash.Mi.'uH8085also in Memphisבְנֹ֖ףve.NofH5297andTahpanhesוּבְתַחְפַּנְחֵ֑סu.ve.tach.pan.ChesH8471;Sayאִמְר֗וּ'im.RuH559, ‘Takeהִתְיַצֵּב֙hit.ya.TzevH3320your standH3320and getH3559yourself readyH3559, For theswordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719has devouredאָכְלָ֥ה'a.khe.LahH398those aroundסְבִיבֶֽיךָ׃se.vi.Vei.khaH5439you.’
16They have repeatedlyהִרְבָּ֖הhir.BahH7235stumbledכּוֹשֵׁ֑לko.ShelH3782;Indeedגַּם־gam-H1571,they have fallenנָפַ֞לna.FalH5307,oneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376againstH413anotherרֵעֵ֗הוּre.'E.huH7453.Then they saidוַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559, ‘GetH6965upH6965, andlet’s goH7725backH7725To our own peopleעַמֵּ֗נוּ'a.Me.nuH5971and our nativeמֽוֹלַדְתֵּ֔נוּmo.lad.Te.nuH4138landאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776, Away from theswordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719of the oppressorהַיּוֹנָֽה׃hai.yo.NahH3238!’
18As I liveחַי־chai-H2416,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002theKingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,Whose nameשְׁמ֑וֹshe.MoH8034is the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635, “One certainlyכִּ֚יkiH3588shall comeיָבֽוֹא׃ya.Vo'H935who is likeTaborכְּתָב֣וֹרke.ta.VorH8396among the mountainsבֶּֽהָרִ֔יםbe.ha.RimH2022, Or likeCarmelוּכְכַרְמֶ֖לu.khe.khar.MelH3760by the seaבַּיָּ֥םbai.YamH3220.
19Makeעֲשִׂ֣י'a.SiH6213your baggageכְּלֵ֤יke.LeiH3627ready forexileגוֹלָה֙go.LahH1473,Daughterבַּת־bat-H1323livingיוֹשֶׁ֖בֶתyo.She.vetH3427in Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, ForMemphisנֹף֙nofH5297will becomeתִֽהְיֶ֔הtih.YehH1961a desolationלְשַׁמָּ֣הle.sha.MahH8047;It will be destroyedוְנִצְּתָ֖הve.ni.tze.TahH3341anddeprivedמֵאֵ֥יןme.'EinH4480H369of inhabitantsיוֹשֵֽׁב׃ סyo.ShevH3427.
21Alsoגַּם־gam-H1571hermercenariesH7917in her midstבְקִרְבָּהּ֙ve.kir.BahH7130Are like fattenedמַרְבֵּ֔קmar.BekH4770calvesכְּעֶגְלֵ֣יke.'eg.LeiH5695,For they tooגַם־gam-H1571have turnedהִפְנ֛וּhif.NuH6437awayH6437andhave fledנָ֥סוּNa.suH5127togetherH3164;They did not standעָמָ֑דוּ'a.Ma.duH5975their ground.For the dayי֥וֹםYomH3117of their disasterאֵידָ֛ם'ei.DamH343has comeבָּ֥אba'H935upon them,The timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256of theirpunishmentפְּקֻדָּתָֽם׃pe.ku.da.TamH6486.
23They have cutכָּרְת֤וּka.re.TuH3772downH3772herforestיַעְרָהּ֙ya'.RahH3293,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068; “Certainlyכִּ֖יkiH3588it will noלֹ֣אlo'H3808longerbe foundיֵֽחָקֵ֑רye.cha.KerH2713,Even thoughכִּ֤יkiH3588they areH7231moreH4480numerousH7231thanH4480locustsמֵֽאַרְבֶּ֔הme.'ar.BehH697And are withoutוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369numberמִסְפָּֽר׃mis.ParH4557.
25The Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַר֩'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009,I am going to punishפוֹקֵד֙fo.KedH6485Amonאָמ֣וֹן'a.MonH528ofThebesמִנֹּ֔אmi.No'H4996, andPharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547,and Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714along with hergodsאֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ'e.lo.Hei.haH430and her kingsמְלָכֶ֑יהָme.la.Khei.haH4428,indeed, Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547and those whotrustהַבֹּטְחִ֖יםha.bo.te.ChimH982in him.
26I shall handH5414H3027them overH5414to those who areseekingמְבַקְשֵׁ֣יme.vak.SheiH1245their livesנַפְשָׁ֔םnaf.ShamH5315,that is, to Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894and to hisofficersעֲבָדָ֑יו'a.va.DavH5650.Afterwardוְאַחֲרֵי־ כֵ֛ןve.'a.cha.rei- khenH310H3651,however, it will be inhabitedתִּשְׁכֹּ֥ןtish.KonH7931as in the daysכִּֽימֵי־ki.mei-H3117of oldקֶ֖דֶםKe.demH6924,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
27“But as for you, Jacobיַֽעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290My servantעַבְדִּ֤י'av.DiH5650,do not fearתִּירָ֞אti.Ra'H3372,NorH408be dismayedתֵּחַ֣תte.ChatH2865,Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478!For, seeH2009, I am going tosaveמוֹשִֽׁעֲךָ֙mo.shi.'a.KhaH3467you from farH7350awayH7350,And your descendantsזַרְעֲךָ֖zar.'a.KhaH2233from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of their captivityשִׁבְיָ֑םshiv.YamH7628;And Jacobיַעֲק֛וֹבya.'a.KovH3290will returnוְשָׁ֧בve.ShavH7725and beH8252undisturbedוְשָׁקַ֥טve.sha.KatH8252And secureוְשַׁאֲנַ֖ןve.sha.'a.NanH7599,with noH369oneH369making himafraidמַחֲרִֽיד׃ סma.cha.RidH2729.
28Jacobיַֽעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290My servantעַבְדִּ֤י'av.DiH5650,do not fearתִּירָ֞אti.Ra'H3372,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “For I am with you.For I will makeאֶעֱשֶׂ֨ה'e.'e.SehH6213a completeכָלָ֜הkha.LahH3617destructionכָלָ֔הkha.LahH3617of allבְּכָֽל־be.kholH3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֣ם׀ha.go.YimH1471Whereאֲשֶׁ֧ר שָׁ֗מָּה'a.Sher Sha.mahH834H8033I have drivenהִדַּחְתִּ֣יךָhi.dach.Ti.khaH5080you, Yet I willnot makeאֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה'e.'e.SehH6213a completeH3617destructionH3617of you; But I willcorrectוְיִסַּרְתִּ֙יךָ֙ve.yi.sar.Ti.khaH3256you properlyלַמִּשְׁפָּ֔טla.mish.PatH4941And byH5352noH3808meansH5352leaveוְנַקֵּ֖הve.na.KehH5352you unpunishedאֲנַקֶּֽךָּ׃ ס'a.na.Ke.kaH5352.”
