Isaiah 8:11-20

11For thusH3541 the LordH3068 spokeH559 to me 1with 2mightyH2393 powerH3027 and instructedH3256 me 3not to walkH1980 in the wayH1870 of thisH2088 peopleH5971, sayingH559,12“You are not to sayH559, ‘It is a 4conspiracyH7195!’ In regard to allH3605 that thisH2088 peopleH5971 callH559 a conspiracyH7195, And 5you are not to fearH3372 6whatH4172 they fearH4172 or be in dreadH6206 of it.13It is the 7LordH3068 of hostsH6635 8whom you should regardH6942 as holyH6942. And He shall be your fearH4172, And He shall be your dreadH6206.14Then He shall becomeH1961 a 9sanctuaryH4720; But to bothH8147 the housesH1004 of IsraelH3478, a 10stoneH68 to strikeH5063 and a rockH6697 to stumbleH4383 over, And a snareH6341 and a 11trapH4170 for the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389.15ManyH7227 12will stumbleH3782 over them, Then they will fallH5307 and be brokenH7665; They will even be snaredH3369 and caughtH3920.”

1613BindH6887 up the testimonyH8584, 14sealH2856 the 15lawH8451 among 16my disciplesH3928. 17And I will 17waitH2442 for the LordH3068 18who is hidingH5641 His faceH6440 from the houseH1004 of JacobH3290; I will even lookH6960 eagerlyH6960 for Him. 1819BeholdH2009, I and the childrenH3206 whomH834 the LordH3068 has givenH5414 me are for 20signsH226 and wondersH4159 in IsraelH3478 from the LordH3068 of hostsH6635, who 21dwellsH7931 on MountH2022 ZionH6726.

19WhenH3588 they sayH559 to you, “22ConsultH1875 the mediumsH178 and the spiritistsH3049 who whisperH6850 and mutterH1897,” should not a peopleH5971 23consultH1875 their GodH430? Should they 24consult the deadH4191 on behalfH1157 of the livingH2416? 20To the 2526lawH8451 and to the testimonyH8584! IfH518 they do not speakH559 according to thisH2088 wordH1697, it is becauseH834 27they haveH369 noH369 dawnH7837.
