2and 1keptG3557 backG3557 some of the priceG5092 for himself, with his wife’sG1135 2fullG4924 knowledgeG4924, and bringingG5342 a portionG3313 of it, he 3laidG5087 it at the apostles’G652 feetG4228. 3But PeterG4074 saidG3004, “AnaniasG367, whyG1223G5101 has 4SatanG4567 filledG4137 your heartG2588 to lieG5574 5to the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 and to 6keepG3557 backG3557 some of the priceG5092 of the landG5564? 4While it remainedG3306 unsold, did it not remainG3306 your own? And after it was soldG4097, was it not 7underG1722 your controlG1849? WhyG5101 is it that you have 8conceivedG5087 thisG3778 deedG4229 in your heartG2588? You have not liedG5574 to menG444 but 9to GodG2316.” 5And as he heardG191 theseG3778 wordsG3056, AnaniasG367 10fellG4098 downG4098 and breathedG1634 his lastG1634; and 11greatG3173 fearG5401 cameG1096 overG1909 allG3956 who heardG191 of it. 6The youngG3501 menG3501 gotG450 up and 12coveredG4958 him up, and after carryingG1627 him out, they buriedG2290 him.

7NowG1161 there elapsedG1096 an intervalG1292 of aboutG5613 threeG5140 hoursG5610, and his wifeG1135 cameG1525 in, not knowingG3609 what had happenedG1096. 8And PeterG4074 respondedG611 to her, “TellG3004 me whetherG1487 you soldG591 the landG5564 1314for suchG5118 and suchG5118 a priceG5118?” And she saidG3004, “YesG3483, 15that was the priceG5118.” 9ThenG1161 PeterG4074 said to her, “WhyG5101 is it that you have agreedG4856 togetherG4856 to 16putG3985 17the SpiritG4151 of the LordG2962 to the testG3985? BeholdG2400, the feetG4228 of thoseG3588 who have buriedG2290 your husbandG435 are at the doorG2374, and they will carryG1627 you out as well.”
