Serve God Willingly

11ThereforeG3767, I exhortG3870 the eldersG4245 amongG1722 you, as your 2fellowG4850 elderG4850 and 3witnessG3144 of the sufferingsG3804 of ChristG5547, and a 4partakerG2844 alsoG2532 of the gloryG1391 that is to be revealedG601, 2shepherdG4165 5the flockG4168 of GodG2316 amongG1722 you, exercising oversightG1983 6not underG317 compulsionG317, but voluntarilyG1596, accordingG2596 to the will of GodG2316; and 7not for sordidG147 gainG147, but with eagernessG4290; 3norG3366 yet as 8lordingG2634 it overG2634 9thoseG3588 allottedG2819 to your chargeG2819, but 10provingG1096 to be 11examplesG5179 to the flockG4168. 4And when the ChiefG750 12ShepherdG750 appearsG5319, you will receiveG2865 the 13unfadingG262 1415crownG4735 of gloryG1391. 516You youngerG3501 menG3501, likewiseG3668, 17be subjectG5293 to your eldersG4245; and allG3956 of you, clotheG1463 yourselves with 18humilityG5012 toward oneG240 anotherG240, for 19GodG2316 is opposedG498 to the proudG5244, but givesG1325 graceG5485 to the humbleG5011.

6ThereforeG3767 20humbleG5013 yourselves underG5259 the mightyG2900 handG5495 of GodG2316, that He may exaltG5312 you at the properG2540 timeG2540, 7castingG1977 allG3956 your 21anxietyG3308 on Him, becauseG3754 He caresG3199 for you. 822Be of soberG3525 spirit, 23be on the alertG1127. Your adversaryG476, 24the devilG1228, prowlsG4043 aroundG4043 likeG5613 a roaringG5612 25lionG3023, seekingG2212 someoneG5100 to devourG2666. 92627But resistG436 him, 28firmG4731 in your faithG4102, knowingG3609 that 29the sameG846 experiencesG3588 of sufferingG3804 are being accomplishedG2005 by your 30brethrenG81 who are in the worldG2889. 10After you have sufferedG3958 31for a littleG3641 whileG3641, the 32GodG2316 of allG3956 graceG5485, who 33calledG2564 you to His 34eternalG166 gloryG1391 in ChristG5547, will HimselfG846 35perfectG2675, 36confirmG4741, strengthenG4599 and establishG2311 you. 1137To Him be dominionG2904 foreverG165 and everG165. AmenG281.

12ThroughG1223 38SilvanusG4610, our faithfulG4103 brotherG80 39(for soG5613 I regardG3049 him), 40I have writtenG1125 to you brieflyG3641, exhortingG3870 and testifyingG1957 that thisG3778 is 41the trueG227 graceG5485 of GodG2316. 42StandG2476 firmG2476 in it! 13She who is in BabylonG897, chosenG4899 togetherG4899 with you, sendsG782 you greetingsG782, and so does my sonG5207, 43MarkG3138. 1444GreetG782 oneG240 anotherG240 with a kissG5370 of loveG26.

45PeaceG1515 be to you allG3956 whoG3588 are in ChristG5547.
