1GettingἀναστὰςanastasG450up, He wentἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064from thereἐκεῖθενekeithenG1564to the regionὅριαhoriaG3725of JudeaG2453and beyondπέρανperanG4008the JordanἸορδάνου,IordanouG2446;crowdsὄχλοιochloiG3793gatheredσυμπορεύονταιsumporeuontaiG4848aroundπρὸςprosG4314Him againG3825, and,accordingὡςhōsG5613to His customεἰώθειeiōtheiG1486,He onceG3825moreG3825beganto teachἐδίδασκενedidaskenG1321them.

2SomePhariseesΦαρισαῖοιPharisaioiG5330cameπροσελθόντεςproselthontesG4334up to Jesus, testingπειράζοντεςpeirazontesG3985Him, and beganto questionἐπηρώτωνepērōtōnG1905Him whetherεἰeiG1487it was lawfulἔξεστινexestinG1832for a manἀνδρὶandriG435todivorceἀπολῦσαιapolusaiG630a wifeγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135.

3And He answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and saidG3004to them,“WhatτίtiG5101did MosesΜωϋσῆς;MōusēsG3475commandἐνετείλατοeneteilatoG1781you?”

4They saidG3004, “MosesΜωϋσῆςMōusēsG3475permittedἐπέτρεψενepetrepsenG2010a manto writeγράψαιgrapsaiG1125a certificateβιβλίονbiblionG975of divorceἀποστασίουapostasiouG647andsendἀπολῦσαι.apolusaiG630herawayG630.”

5But JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to them, “BecauseπρὸςprosG4314of your hardnessσκληροκαρδίανsklērokardianG4641of heartG4641he wroteἔγραψενegrapsenG1125you thisταύτην·tautēnG3778commandmentἐντολὴνentolēnG1785.

6Butfrom the beginningἀρχῆςarchēsG746of creationκτίσεωςktiseōsG2937, GodmadeἐποίησενepoiēsenG4160them maleG733and femaleθῆλυthēluG2338.

7For thisτούτουtoutouG3778reasonἕνεκενhenekenG1752a manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444shall leaveκαταλείψειkataleipseiG2641his fatherπατέραpateraG3962and motherμητέραmēteraG3384,

8and the twoδύοduoG1417shall becomeεἰςeisG1510 G1519oneμίανmianG1520fleshσάρκαsarkaG4561;soὥστεhōsteG5620they are noG3765longerG3765twoδύοduoG1417,but oneμίαmiaG1520fleshσάρξ.sarxG4561.

9WhatὃhoG3739thereforeοὖνounG3767GodθεὸςtheosG2316has joinedG4801togetherσυνέζευξεν,sunezeuxenG4801,let noμὴmēG3361manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444separateχωριζέτω.¶chōrizetōG5563.”

10In the houseοἰκίανoikianG3614the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101beganquestioningἐπηρώτωνepērōtōnG1905Him aboutπερὶperiG4012thisτούτουtoutouG3778againπάλινpalinG3825.

11And He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them, “Whoeverὃς ἂνhos anG3739 G302divorcesἀπολύσῃapolusēG630his wifeγυναῖκαgunaikaG1135and marriesγαμήσῃgamēsēG1060anotherG243womanG243commitsG3429adulteryμοιχᾶταιmoichataiG3429againstἐπ᾽ep᾽G1909her;

12andifἐὰνeanG1437she herselfG846divorcesἀπολύσασαapolusasaG630her husbandἄνδραandraG435and marriesγαμήσῃgamēsēG1060anotherG243manG243,she is committingG3431adulteryμοιχᾶται.¶moichataiG3429.”

13And they were bringingπροσέφερονprosepheronG4374childrenπαιδίαpaidiaG3813to Him soἵναinaG2443that He might touchἅψηται·hapsētaiG681them; but the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101rebukedἐπετίμησανepetimēsanG2008them.

14But when JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424sawG3708this, He was indignantἠγανάκτησενēganaktēsenG23and saidG3004to them,“PermitἄφετεapheteG863the childrenπαιδίαpaidiaG3813to comeἔρχεσθαιerchesthaiG2064to Me; do not hinderκωλύετεkōlueteG2967them;for the kingdomβασιλείαbasileiaG932of Godθεοῦ.¶theouG2316belongsἐστὶνestinG1510to suchG5108as theseG5108.

15TrulyἈμὴνAmēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you,whoeverὃς ἂνhos anG3739 G302does not receiveδέξηταιdexētaiG1209the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932of GodθεοῦtheouG2316likeὡςhōsG5613a childπαιδίον,paidionG3813will not enterεἰσέλθῃeiselthēG1525it at all.”

16And HetookG1723them in His armsG1723and beganblessingG2721them, layingτιθεὶςtitheisG5087His handsχεῖραςcheirasG5495on them.
