5But we did not yieldεἴξαμενeixamenG1502in subjectionὑποταγῇ,hupotagēaG5292to them for evenοὐδὲoudeG3761an hourὥρανhōranG5610,soἵναinaG2443thatthe truthἀλήθειαalētheiaG225of the gospelεὐαγγελίουeuangeliouG2098would remainδιαμείνῃdiameinēG1265with you.

6But from thoseG3588whowere of highτι,tiG5100reputationδοκούντωνdokountōnG1380(whatὁποῖοίhopoioiG3697they were makesG1308noοὐδένoudenG3762differenceG1308to me;GodθεὸςtheosG2316showsλαμβάνει·lambaneiG2983noοὐouG3756partialityπρόσωπονprosōponG4383)--wellγὰρgarG1063,thoseG3588who were of reputationδοκοῦντεςdokountesG1380contributedπροσανέθεντο,prosanethentoG4323nothingοὐδὲνoudenG3762to me.

11But whenὍτεHoteG3753CephasΚηφᾶςKēphasG2786cameἦλθενēlthenG2064toAntiochἈντιόχειαν,AntiocheianG490,I opposedἀντέστην,antestēnG436him to his faceπρόσωπονprosōponG4383,becauseὅτιhotiG3754hestood condemnedκατεγνωσμένοςkategnōsmenosG2607.

12For priorπρὸproG4253to the comingἐλθεῖνeltheinG2064of certainτιναςtinasG5100menG5100fromJamesἸακώβουIakōbouG2385, he used toeatσυνήσθιεν·sunēsthienG4906with the GentilesἐθνῶνethnōnG1484;but whenὅτεhoteG3753they cameἦλθον,ēlthonG2064, he beganto withdrawὑπέστελλενhupestellenG5288and holdG873himselfἑαυτὸνhe'autonG1438aloofG873,fearingφοβούμενοςphoboumenosG5399the party of the circumcisionπεριτομῆς·peritomēsG4061.

13The restλοιποὶloipoiG3062of the JewsἸουδαῖοιIoudaioiG2453joinedG4942him in hypocrisyG4942,with the resultὥστεhōsteG5620that evenG2532BarnabasΒαρναβᾶςBarnabasG921was carriedG4879awayσυναπήχθηsunapēchthēG4879by their hypocrisyὑποκρίσει.hupokriseiG5272.

14But whenὅτεhoteG3753I sawG3708that they were notstraightforwardὀρθοποδοῦσινorthopodousinG3716aboutπρὸςprosG4314the truthἀλήθειανalētheianG225of the gospelεὐαγγελίου,euangeliouG2098,I saidG3004toCephasΚηφᾷKēphaG2786in the presenceἔμπροσθενemprosthenG1715of allπάντων·pantōnG3956, “IfεἰeiG1487you, beingὑπάρχωνhuparchōnG5225a JewἸουδαῖοςIoudaiosG2453,liveζῇς,zēasG2198likeG1483the GentilesG1483and not likeG2452the JewsG2452,howπῶςpōsG4459is it thatyou compelἀναγκάζειςanagkazeisG315the GentilesἔθνηethnēG1484to liveG2450likeG2450JewsG2450?
