Darby Bible
Romans 13:1-5
1Let every soulG5590 beG1510 subjectG5293 to the authoritiesG1849 that areG1510 above [him]. For there isG1510 no authorityG1849 except from 1GodG2316; and those that exist areG1510 set up by 2GodG2316.
2So that he that sets himself in opposition to the authorityG1849 resistsG436 the ordinance of 3GodG2316; and they who [thus] resistG436 shall bring sentence of guilt on themselves.
3For rulersG758 areG1510 not a terror to a goodG18 workG2041, but to an evilG2556 [oneG3588]. Dost thou desireG2309 then not to beG1510 afraidG5399 of the authorityG1849? practise [what isG1510] goodG18, and thou shalt have praiseG1868 from it;
4for it isG1510 4God's ministerG1249 to thee for goodG18. But if thou practisest evilG2556, fearG5399; for it bears not the swordG3162 in vainG1500; for it isG1510 5God's ministerG1249, an avenger for wrathG3709 to him that does evilG2556.
5Wherefore it is necessaryG318 to be subjectG5293, not onlyG3440 on accountG1223 of wrathG3709, but alsoG2532 on accountG1223 of conscienceG4893.
