Joshua 22:24-29

24and if we have not done it from fear of this thingH1697, sayingH559, In future your children will speak to our children, sayingH559, What have ye to do with Jehovah the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478?

25Jehovah hath madeH5414 the JordanH3383 a borderH1366 between us and you, ye children of ReubenH7205 and children of GadH1410, ye have no portionH2506 in Jehovah! And so shall your children makeH5414 our children cease from fearing Jehovah.

26And we saidH559, Let us now set to work to buildH1129 an altarH4196, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrificeH2077,

27but to be a witnessH5707 between us and you, and between our generationsH1755 after us, that we might do serviceH5656 to Jehovah before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrificesH2077, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not sayH559 to our children in future, Ye have no portionH2506 in Jehovah.

28And we saidH559, If it shall beH1961 that in future they so sayH559 to us and to our generationsH1755, we will sayH559, Behold the patternH8403 of the altarH4196 of Jehovah which our fathersH1 madeH6213, not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrificeH2077, but as a witnessH5707 between us and you.
