Darby Bible
1And JoshuaH3091 was oldH2204, advanced in age, and Jehovah saidH559 to him, Thou art oldH2204, advanced in age, and there remaineth yet veryH3966 muchH7235 landH776 to takeH3423 possessionH3423 of. 2This is the landH776 that yet remaineth: all the districts of the PhilistinesH6430 and all the Geshurites, 3from the ShihorH7883, which [floweth] before EgyptH4714, as far as the bordersH1366 of EkronH6138 northward, [and which] is counted to the CanaaniteH3669; fiveH2568 lordships of the PhilistinesH6430: of Gazah, and of Ashdod, of Eshkalon, of Gath, and of EkronH6138; also the Avvites; 4in the southH8486, the whole landH776 of the CanaanitesH3669, and Mearah which [belongeth] to the SidoniansH6722, unto AphekH663, to the borderH1366 of the AmoritesH567; 5and the landH776 of the Giblites, and all LebanonH3844, toward the sun-rising, from Baal-GadH1171 at the foot of mount HermonH2768 to the entrance into HamathH2574; 6all the inhabitantsH3427 of the hill-country from LebanonH3844 to Misrephoth-maimH4956, all the SidoniansH6722; I will dispossessH3423 them from before the children of IsraelH3478. OnlyH7535, partition it by lot to IsraelH3478 for an inheritanceH5159, as I have commandedH6680 thee. 7And nowH6258 divideH2505 this landH776 for an inheritanceH5159 to the nineH8672 tribesH7626, and to halfH2677 the tribeH7626 of ManassehH4519; 8with him the Reubenites and the Gadites have receivedH3947 their inheritanceH5159, which MosesH4872 gaveH5414 them, beyond the JordanH3383 eastward, as MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of Jehovah gaveH5414 them: 9from AroerH6177, which is on the bankH8193 of the river ArnonH769, and the cityH5892 that is in the midstH8432 of the ravine, and all the plateau of MedebaH4311 to DibonH1769, 10and all the citiesH5892 of SihonH5511 the kingH4428 of the AmoritesH567, who reignedH4427 at HeshbonH2809, to the borderH1366 of the children of AmmonH5983; 11and GileadH1568, and the borderH1366 of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount HermonH2768, and the whole of BashanH1316 to Salcah; 12all the kingdomH4468 of OgH5747 in BashanH1316, who reignedH4427 at AshtarothH6252 and at EdreiH154, who remainedH7604 of the residue of the giants; and MosesH4872 smote them and dispossessedH3423 them. 13But the children of IsraelH3478 did not dispossessH3423 the Geshurites nor the Maachathites; but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwellH3427 among the Israelites to this dayH3117. 14OnlyH7535 to the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878 he gaveH5414 no inheritanceH5159: the offeringsH801 by fireH801 of Jehovah the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478 are their inheritanceH5159, as he saidH1696 to them. 15And MosesH4872 gaveH5414 [a portion] to the tribeH4294 of the children of ReubenH7205 according to their familiesH4940. 16And their territoryH1366 wasH1961 from AroerH6177, which is on the bankH8193 of the riverH5158 ArnonH769, and the cityH5892 that is in the midstH8432 of the ravine, and all the plateau by MedebaH4311; 17HeshbonH2809, and all her citiesH5892 that are in the plateau, DibonH1769, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-meon, 18And Jahzah, and KedemothH6932, and MephaathH4158, 19and Kirjathaim, and SibmahH7643, and Zereth-shahar in the mountainH2022 of the vale, 20and Beth-PeorH1047, and the slopes of PisgahH6449, and Beth-jeshimothH1020; 21all the citiesH5892 of the plateau, and the whole kingdomH4468 of SihonH5511 the kingH4428 of the AmoritesH567, who reignedH4427 at HeshbonH2809, whom MosesH4872 smote, him and the princesH5387 of MidianH4080, EviH189, and RekemH7552, and ZurH6698, and HurH2354, and RebaH7254, the chiefs of SihonH5511 dwellingH3427 in the landH776. 22And BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160, the divinerH7080, did the children of IsraelH3478 killH2026 with the swordH2719 among them that were slainH2026 by them. 23And the borderH1366 of the children of ReubenH7205 wasH1961 the JordanH3383, and [its] borderH1366. This is the inheritanceH5159 of the children of ReubenH7205 according to their familiesH4940, the citiesH5892 and their hamlets. 24And MosesH4872 gaveH5414 [a portion] to the tribeH4294 of GadH1410, to the children of GadH1410 according to their familiesH4940. 25And their territoryH1366 wasH1961 Jaazer, and all the citiesH5892 of GileadH1568, and halfH2677 the landH776 of the children of AmmonH5983, to AroerH6177 which is before RabbahH7237; 26and from HeshbonH2809 to Ramath-Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from MahanaimH4266 to the borderH1366 of DebirH1688; 27and in the valleyH6010, Beth-haram, and Beth-NimrahH1039, and SuccothH5523, and Zaphon, the restH3499 of the kingdomH4468 of SihonH5511 the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809, the JordanH3383 and [its] borderH1366, as far as the edge of the seaH3220 of Chinnereth beyond the JordanH3383 eastward. 28This is the inheritanceH5159 of the children of GadH1410 according to their familiesH4940, the citiesH5892 and their hamlets. 29And MosesH4872 gaveH5414 [a portion] to halfH2677 the tribeH4294 of ManassehH4519; and for halfH2677 the tribeH4294 of the children of ManassehH4519 according to their familiesH4940: 30their territoryH1366 wasH1961 from MahanaimH4266, all BashanH1316, the whole kingdomH4468 of OgH5747 the kingH4428 of BashanH1316, and all the villages of JairH2971, which are in BashanH1316, sixtyH8346 citiesH5892. 31And halfH2677 GileadH1568, and AshtarothH6252, and EdreiH154, the citiesH5892 of the kingdomH4468 of OgH5747 in BashanH1316, [belonged] to the children of Machir the sonH1121 of ManassehH4519, to the one halfH2677 of the children of Machir according to their familiesH4940. 32This is that which MosesH4872 allotted for inheritanceH5157 in the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124, beyond the JordanH3383 of JerichoH3405, eastward. 33But to the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878 MosesH4872 gaveH5414 no inheritanceH5159: Jehovah the 2GodH430 of IsraelH3478 is their inheritanceH5159, as he saidH1696 to them.
