Exodus 34:10-16
And he saidH559, Behold, I makeH6213 a covenantH1285: before all thy peopleH5971 I will do marvels that have not been done in all the earthH776, nor in any nationH1471; and all the peopleH5971 in the midstH7130 of which thou [art] shall seeH7200 the workH4639 of Jehovah; for a terrible thing it shall be that I will do with thee.
ObserveH8104 what I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117: behold, I will driveH1644 out before thee the AmoriteH567, and the CanaaniteH3669, and the HittiteH2850, and the PerizziteH6522, and the HiviteH2340, and the JebusiteH2983.
TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself, that thou makeH3772 no covenantH1285 with the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 to which thou shalt comeH935, lestH6435 it beH1961 a snareH4170 in the midstH7130 of thee;
but ye shall demolish their altarsH4196, shatterH7665 their statues, and hew downH5422 their Asherahs.
For thou shalt worship no otherH312 1GodH410; for Jehovah — JealousH7067 is his nameH8034 — is a jealousH7067 2GodH410;
lestH6435 thou makeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, and then, when they go a whoring after their 3godsH430, and sacrificeH2077 unto their 4godsH430, thou be invited, and eatH398 of their sacrificeH2077,
and thou takeH3947 of their daughtersH1323 unto thy sonsH1121, and their daughtersH1323 go a whoring after their 5godsH430, and make thy sonsH1121 go a whoring after their 6godsH430.
