Exodus 12:21-51
21And MosesH4872 calledH7121 all the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478, and saidH559 to them, Seize and takeH3947 yourselves lambs for your familiesH4940, and kill the passoverH6453. 22And takeH3947 a bunch of hyssopH231, and dipH2881 [it] in the bloodH1818 that is in the bason, and smear the lintelH4947 and the twoH8147 door-posts with the bloodH1818 that is in the bason; and none of you shall goH3318 out of the doorH6607 of his houseH1004 until the morningH1242. 23And Jehovah will passH5674 through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seesH7200 the bloodH1818 on the lintelH4947, and on the twoH8147 door-posts, Jehovah will passH5674 over the doorH6607, and will not suffer the destroyerH7843 to comeH935 into your housesH1004 to smite [you]. 24And ye shall observeH8104 this as an ordinance for thee and for thy sonsH1121 for everH5769. 25And it shall comeH935 to pass, when ye are comeH935 into the landH776 that Jehovah will giveH5414 you, as he has promised, that ye shall keepH8104 this serviceH5656. 26And it shall come to pass, when your children shall sayH559 to you, What mean ye by this serviceH5656? 27that ye shall sayH559, It is a sacrificeH2077 of passoverH6453 to Jehovah, who passed over the housesH1004 of the children of IsraelH3478 in EgyptH4714 whenH834 he smote the Egyptians and deliveredH5337 our housesH1004. And the peopleH5971 bowedH7812 their heads and worshipped. 28And the children of IsraelH3478 went away, and did as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 and AaronH175; soH3651 did they. 29And it came to pass that at midnight Jehovah smote all the firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the firstbornH1060 of PharaohH6547 who satH3427 on his throneH3678 to the firstbornH1060 of the captive that wasH1961 in the dungeon, and all the firstbornH1060 of cattleH929. 30And PharaohH6547 roseH6965 up in the nightH3915, he, and all his bondmen, and all the Egyptians; and there was a greatH1419 cryH6818 in EgyptH4714; for there was not a houseH1004 in which there was not one deadH4191. 31And he calledH7121 MosesH4872 and AaronH175 in the nightH3915, and saidH559, RiseH6965 up, goH3318 away from among my peopleH5971, both ye and the children of IsraelH3478; and goH3318, serveH5647 Jehovah, as ye have saidH559. 32AlsoH1571 takeH3947 your flocksH6629 and your herdsH1241, as ye have saidH1696, and go; and blessH1288 me alsoH1571. 33And the EgyptiansH4713 urged the peopleH5971, to sendH7971 them out of the landH776 in hasteH4116; for they saidH559, We are all deadH4191 [men]! 34And the peopleH5971 tookH5375 their doughH1217 before it was leavened; their kneading-troughs bound up in their clothesH8071 upon their shouldersH7926. 35And the children of IsraelH3478 had done according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872, and they had askedH7592 of the Egyptians utensilsH3627 of silverH3701, and utensilsH3627 of goldH2091, and clothingH8071. 36And Jehovah had givenH5414 the peopleH5971 favour in the eyesH5869 of the Egyptians, and they gaveH5414 to them; and they spoiled the Egyptians. 37And the children of IsraelH3478 journeyed from RamesesH7486 to SuccothH5523, about sixH8337 hundredH3967 thousandH505 on footH7273 [that were] men, besides children. 38And a mixed multitude wentH5927 up alsoH1571 with them; and flocksH6629 and herdsH1241 — veryH3966 muchH7227 cattleH1241. 39And they bakedH644 the doughH1217 that they broughtH3318 forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714 into unleavenedH4682 cakesH5692, for it was not leavened; for they were drivenH1644 out of EgyptH4714, and could not wait; neither had they prepared for themselves any foodH6720. 40And the residence of the children of IsraelH3478 that they resided in EgyptH4714 was fourH702 hundredH3967 and thirtyH7970 yearsH8141. 41And it came to pass at the endH7093 of the fourH702 hundredH3967 and thirtyH7970 yearsH8141, on that same dayH3117 it came to pass that all the hostsH6635 of Jehovah wentH3318 out from the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 42It is a nightH3915 of observance to Jehovah, because of their being broughtH3318 out from the landH776 of EgyptH4714: that same nightH3915 is an observance to Jehovah for all the children of IsraelH3478 in their generationsH1755. 43And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872 and AaronH175, This is the ordinance of the passoverH6453: No stranger shall eatH398 of it; 44but every man's bondman that is bought for moneyH3701 — let him be circumcisedH4135: thenH227 shall he eatH398 it. 45A settler and a hired servant shall not eatH398 it. 46In oneH259 houseH1004 shall it be eatenH398; thou shalt not carry forthH3318 any of the fleshH1320 abroad out of the houseH1004; neither shall ye breakH7665 a boneH6106 thereof. 47All the assemblyH5712 of IsraelH3478 shall hold it. 48And when a sojournerH1616 sojourneth with thee, and would hold the passoverH6453 to Jehovah, let all his malesH2145 beH1961 circumcisedH4135, and thenH227 let him come near and hold it; and he shall beH1961 as one that is born in the landH776; but no uncircumcisedH6189 person shall eatH398 thereof. 49OneH259 lawH8451 shall beH1961 for him that is home-born and for the sojournerH1616 that sojourneth among you. 50And all the children of IsraelH3478 did as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 and AaronH175; soH3651 did they. 51And it came to pass on that same dayH3117, [that] Jehovah broughtH3318 the children of IsraelH3478 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 according to their hostsH6635.
