Matthew 2:12-22

12AndG2532 having been warnedG5537 inG2596 a dreamG3677 notG3361 to returnG344 toG4314 HerodG2264, they withdrewG402 toG1519 theirG846 countryG5561 byG1223 anotherG243 routeG3598.

13WhenG1161 the Magi had goneG402, an angelG32 of the LordG2962 appearedG5316 to JosephG2501 inG2596 a dreamG3677. “Get upG1453!” he saidG3004. “TakeG3880 theG3588 ChildG3813 andG2532 HisG846 motherG3384 andG2532 fleeG5343 toG1519 EgyptG125. StayG1510 thereG1563 untilG2193 I tellG2036 youG4771, forG1063 HerodG2264 is goingG3195 to search forG2212 theG3588 ChildG3813 to killG622 HimG846.”

14

SoG1161 he got upG1453, tookG3880 theG3588 ChildG3813 andG2532 HisG846 motherG3384 by nightG3571, andG2532 withdrewG402 toG1519 EgyptG125, 15whereG1563 he stayedG1510 untilG2193 theG3588 deathG5054 of HerodG2264. ThisG2443 fulfilledG4137 whatG3588 the LordG2962 had spokenG2046 throughG1223 theG3588 prophetG4396: “OutG1537 of EgyptG125 I calledG2564 MyG1473 SonG5207.”1

16WhenG5119 HerodG2264 sawG3708 thatG3754 he had been outwittedG1702 byG5259 theG3588 MagiG3097, he was filled with rageG3029G2373. Sending ordersG649, he put to deathG337 allG3956 theG3588 boysG3816 inG1722 BethlehemG965 andG2532G1722G3956 itsG846 vicinityG3725 who were two years oldG1332 andG2532 underG2736, according toG2596 theG3588 timeG5550 he had learnedG198 fromG3844 theG3588 MagiG3097. 17ThenG5119 what wasG3588 spokenG2046 throughG1223 theG3588 prophetG4396 JeremiahG2408 was fulfilledG4137:

19AfterG1161 HerodG2264 diedG5053, an angelG32 of the LordG2962 appearedG5316 inG2596 a dreamG3677 toG3588 JosephG2501 inG1722 EgyptG125. 20“Get upG1453!” he saidG3004. “TakeG3880 theG3588 ChildG3813 andG2532 HisG846 motherG3384 andG2532 goG4198 toG1519 the landG1093 of IsraelG2474, forG1063 thoseG3588 seekingG2212 theG3588 Child’sG3588G3813 lifeG5590 are now deadG2348.”

21

SoG1161 Joseph got upG1453, tookG3880 theG3588 ChildG3813 andG2532 HisG846 motherG3384, andG2532 wentG1525 toG1519 the landG1093 of IsraelG2474. 22ButG1161 when he learnedG191 thatG3754 ArchelausG745 was reigning inG936 JudeaG2449 in place ofG473 hisG846 fatherG3962 HerodG2264, he was afraidG5399 to goG565 thereG1563. AndG1161 having been warnedG5537 inG2596 a dreamG3677, he withdrewG402 toG1519 theG3588 districtG3313 of GalileeG1056,
