Jeremiah 25:3-9
“FromH4480 the thirteenthH7969H6240 yearH8141 of JosiahH2977 sonH1121 of AmonH526 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 untilH5704 this veryH2088 dayH3117—twenty-threeH7969H6242 yearsH8141—the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 has comeH1961 to meH413, and I have spokenH1696 to youH413 againH7925 and againH1696,1 but you have notH3808 listenedH8085. 4And the LORDH3068 has sentH7971 allH3605 His servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030 toH413 youH853 againH7925 and againH7971,2 but you have notH3808 listenedH8085 or inclinedH5186 your earH241 to hearH8085.
The prophets toldH559 you, ‘TurnH7725 nowH4994, each of youH376, from your evilH7451 waysH1870 andH7455 deedsH4611, and you can dwellH3427 inH5921 the landH127 thatH834 the LORD has givenH5414H3068 to you and your fathersH1 foreverH4480H5769 andH5704 everH5769. 6Do notH408 followH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 and worshipH7812 them, and do notH3808 provoke Me to angerH3707 with the worksH4639 of your handsH3027. Then I will do you noH3808 harmH7489.’
‘But to your own harmH7451, you have notH3808 listenedH8085 to MeH413,’ declaresH5002 the LORDH3068, ‘soH4616 you have provoked Me to angerH3707 with the worksH4639 of your handsH3027.’
ThereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068 of HostsH6635 saysH559: ‘BecauseH3282 you have notH3808 obeyedH8085 My wordsH1697, 9beholdH2005, I will summonH7971H3947 allH3605 the familiesH4940 of the northH6828, declaresH5002 the LORDH3068, andH413 I will send for My servantH5650 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894, whom I will bringH935 againstH5921 thisH2063 landH776, againstH5921 its residentsH3427, and againstH5921 allH3605 theH428 surroundingH5439 nationsH1471. So I will devote them to destructionH27633 and make themH7760 an object of horrorH8047 and contemptH8322, an everlastingH5769 desolationH2723.
