Jeremiah 11:9-17
And the LORDH3068 toldH559 meH413, “There isH4672 a conspiracyH7195 among the menH376 of JudahH3063 and the residentsH3427 of JerusalemH3389. 10They have returnedH7725 toH5921 the sinsH5771 of their forefathersH1H7223 whoH834 refusedH3985 to obeyH8085 My wordsH1697. TheyH1992 have followedH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430 to serve themH5647. The houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 have brokenH6565 the covenantH1285 I madeH3772 withH854 their fathersH1.
ThereforeH3651 this is whatH3541 the LORDH3068H2005 saysH559: ‘I am about to bringH935 upon themH413 a disasterH7451 thatH834 they cannotH3808H3201 escapeH3318H4480. They will cry outH2199 to MeH413, but I will notH3808 listenH8085 to themH413. 12Then the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and the residentsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 will goH1980 and cry outH2199 toH413 the godsH430 to whichH834 theyH1992 have been burning incenseH6999, but these gods certainly will notH3808 saveH3467 them in their timeH6256 of disasterH7451. 13Your godsH430 areH1961 indeedH3588 as numerousH4557 as your citiesH5892, O JudahH3063; the altarsH4196 of shameH1322 you have set upH7760—the altarsH4196 to burn incenseH6999 to BaalH1168—are as manyH4557 as the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389.’
As for youH859, do notH408 prayH6419 forH1157 theseH2088 peopleH5971. Do notH408 raise upH5375 a cryH7440 or a prayerH8605 on their behalfH1157, forH3588 I will notH369 be listeningH8085 when they call outH7121 to MeH413H1157 in their timeH6256 of disasterH7451.
The LORDH3068 of HostsH6635, who plantedH5193 youH853, has decreedH1696 disasterH7451 against youH5921 on account ofH1558 the evil thatH7451 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 have brought upon themselvesH6213, provoking Me to angerH3707 by burning incenseH6999 to BaalH1168.”
