Isaiah 41:5-16
5The islandsH339 seeH7200 and fearH3372; the endsH7098 of the earthH776 trembleH2729. They approachH7126 and come forwardH857.6Each oneH376 helpsH5826 the otherH7453 and saysH559 to his brotherH251, “Be strongH2388!”7The craftsmanH2796 encouragesH2388 the goldsmithH6884, and he who wieldsH2505 the hammerH6360 cheers him who strikesH1986 the anvilH6471, sayingH559 of the weldingH1694, “ItH1931 is goodH2896.” He nails it downH2388H4548 so it will notH3808 be toppledH4131.
8“But youH859, O IsraelH3478, My servantH5650,JacobH3290, whomH834 I have chosenH977,descendantH2233 of AbrahamH85 My friendH157—9I broughtH2388 you fromH834 the endsH7098 of the earthH776and called youH7121 from its farthest cornersH678.I saidH559, ‘YouH859 are My servantH5650.’I have chosenH977 and notH3808 rejected youH3988.10Do notH408 fearH3372, forH3588 IH589 am with youH5973;do notH408 be afraidH8159, forH3588 IH589 am your GodH430.I will strengthen youH553; I will surely help youH637H5826;I will uphold youH8551 with My righteousH6664 right handH3225.
11BeholdH2005, allH3605 who rageH2734 against youwill be ashamedH954 and disgracedH3637;those who contendH582 with youH7379will beH1961 reduced to nothingH369 and will perishH6.12You will seekH1245 them but will notH3808 find themH4672.Those who wage warH4421 against youH582 will comeH1961 to nothingH369H657.13ForH3588 I amH589 the LORDH3068 your GodH430,who takes holdH2388 of your right handH3225and tellsH559 you: Do notH408 fearH3372,IH589 will help youH5826.14Do notH408 fearH3372, O JacobH3290, you wormH8438,O few menH4962 of IsraelH3478.IH589 will help youH5826,” declaresH5002 the LORDH3068.“Your RedeemerH1350 is the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478.15BeholdH2009, I will make youH7760 into a threshing sledgeH4173,newH2319 and sharpH2742, withH1167 many teethH6374.You will threshH1758 the mountainsH2022 and crush themH1854,and reduceH7760 the hillsH1389 to chaffH4671.16You will winnow themH2219, and a windH7307 will carry them awayH5375;a galeH5591 will scatterH6327 themH853.But youH859 will rejoiceH1523 in the LORDH3068;you will gloryH1984 in the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478.
