Revised Version 1895
1And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 unto meH413, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 towardH413 the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and prophesyH5012 againstH5921 them: 3and sayH559 unto the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LordH136 GODH136; ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3588 thou saidst, AhaH1889, againstH413 my sanctuaryH4720, when it was profanedH2490; and againstH413 the landH127 of IsraelH3478, when it was madeH8074 desolateH8074; and againstH413 the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, when they wentH1980 intoH413 captivity: 4therefore beholdH2005, I will deliverH5414 thee to the childrenH1121 of the eastH6924 for a possessionH4181, and they shall setH5414 their encampmentsH2918 in thee, and makeH5414 their dwellingsH4908 in thee; they shall eatH398 thy fruitH6529, and they shall drinkH8354 thy milkH2461. 5And I will makeH5414 RabbahH7237 a stable for camelsH1581, and the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 a couching placeH5414 for flocksH6629: and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068. 6For thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3588 thou hast clappedH4222 thine handsH3027, and stampedH7554 with the feetH7272, and rejoicedH8055 with allH3605 the despite of thy soulH5315 againstH413 the landH127 of IsraelH3478; 7therefore beholdH2005, I have stretchedH5186 outH4480 mineH4480 handH3027 uponH5921 thee, and will deliverH5414 thee for a spoil to the nationsH1471; and I will cutH3772 thee offH3772 from the peoplesH5971, and I will causeH5414 thee to perishH6 outH4480 of the countriesH776: I will destroyH8045 thee; and thou shalt knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068. 8ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3282 that MoabH4124 and SeirH8165 doH3605 sayH559, BeholdH2009, the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 is like unto allH3605 the nationsH1471; 9therefore beholdH2005, I will openH6605 the sideH3802 of MoabH4124 from the citiesH5892, from his citiesH5892 which are on his frontiers, the glory of the countryH776, Beth-jeshimothH1020, Baal-meonH1186, and KiriathaimH7156, 10unto the childrenH1121 of the eastH6924, to go againstH5921 the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and I will giveH5414 them for a possessionH4181, that the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 may notH3808 be rememberedH2142 among the nationsH1471: 11and I will execute judgmentsH8201 uponH8201 MoabH4124; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068. 12ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3282 that EdomH123 hath dealt against the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 by takingH5358 vengeanceH5359, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; 13therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136, I will stretchH5186 outH4480 mineH4480 handH3027 uponH5921 EdomH123, and will cutH3772 offH3772 manH120 and beastH929 from it: and I will makeH5414 it desolate from TemanH8487; evenH3651 unto DedanH1719 shall they fallH5307 by the swordH2719. 14And I will layH5414 my vengeanceH5360 uponH3027 EdomH123 by the handH3027 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478; and they shall doH6213 in EdomH123 accordingH3027 to mine angerH639 and accordingH3027 to my furyH2534: and they shall knowH3045 my vengeanceH5360, saith the LordH136 GODH136. 15ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3282 the PhilistinesH6430 have dealt by revengeH5360, and have takenH5358 vengeanceH5360 with despite of soulH5315 to destroyH4889 it with perpetualH5769 enmityH342; 16therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136, BeholdH2005, I will stretchH5186 outH5186 mine handH3027 uponH5921 the PhilistinesH6430, and I will cutH3772 offH3772 the CherethitesH3774, and destroyH6 the remnantH7611 of the seaH3220 coastH3027. 17And I will executeH5414 greatH1419 vengeanceH5360 upon them with furious rebukesH8433; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, when I shall layH5414 my vengeanceH5360 upon them.
