Ezekiel 18:14-20
14NowH2009 suppose this son hasH3205 a sonH1121 who seesH7200 allH3605 the sinsH2403 his fatherH1 has committedH6213, considers themH7200, and does notH3808 do likewiseH6213:
Such a man will notH3808 dieH4191 for his father’sH1 iniquityH5771. He will surely liveH2421.
18As for his fatherH1, he will dieH4191 for his own iniquityH5771, becauseH3588 he practicedH6231 extortionH6233, robbedH1497H1498 his brotherH251, and didH6213 whatH834 was wrongH3808H2896 amongH8432 his peopleH5971H2009.
19Yet you may askH559, ‘WhyH4069 shouldn’t the sonH1121H3808 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of his fatherH1?’
Since the sonH1121 has doneH6213 what is justH4941 and rightH6666, carefullyH8104 observingH6213 allH3605 My statutesH2708, he will surely liveH2421.
20The soulH5315 who sinsH2398 is the one whoH1931 will dieH4191. A sonH1121 will notH3808 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of his fatherH1, and a fatherH1 will notH3808 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of his sonH1121. The righteousnessH6666 of the righteous manH6662 will fallH1961 upon himH5921, and the wickednessH7564 of the wicked manH7563 will fallH1961 upon himH5921.
