Ezekiel 18:14-20

14NowH2009, loH2009, ifH2009 he begetH3205 a sonH1121, that seeth allH3605 his father’sH1 sinsH2403, whichH834 he hath doneH6213, and feareth, and doth notH3808 suchH834 like,

15that hath notH3808 eatenH398 uponH5921 the mountainsH2022, neitherH3808 hath liftedH5375 upH5375 his eyesH5869 to the idolsH1544 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, hath notH3808 defiledH2930 his neighbour’s wifeH802,

16neitherH3808 hath wrongedH3238 anyH376, hath notH3808 takenH1497 aught to pledgeH2258, neitherH3808 hath spoiled by violence, but hath givenH5414 his breadH3899 to the hungryH7457, and hath coveredH3680 the nakedH5903 with a garmentH899,

17that hath withdrawn his handH3027 from the poorH6041, that hath notH3808 receivedH3947 usuryH8636 norH3808 increaseH8636, hath executedH4191 my judgmentsH4941, hath walkedH1980 in my statutesH2708; he shall notH3808 dieH4191 for the iniquityH5771 of his fatherH1, he shall surelyH4191 liveH2421.

18As for his fatherH1, becauseH3588 he cruelly oppressedH6231, spoiled his brotherH251 by violenceH6233, and didH6213 that whichH834 is notH3808 goodH2896 among his peopleH5971, beholdH2009, he shall dieH4191 in his iniquityH5771.

19Yet sayH559 ye, Wherefore doth notH3808 the sonH1121 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the fatherH1? When the sonH1121 hath doneH6213 that whichH2708 is lawful and rightH4941, and hath keptH8104 allH3605 my statutesH2708, and hath doneH6213 them, he shall surelyH1121 liveH2421.

20The soulH5315 that sinneth, it shall dieH4191: the sonH1121 shall notH3808 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the fatherH1, neitherH3808 shall the fatherH1 bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the sonH1121; the righteousnessH6666 of the righteousH6662 shall be uponH5921 him, and the wickednessH7564 of the wickedH7563 shall be uponH5921 him.
