Ezekiel 17:5-10
5He tookH3947 also of the seedH2233 of the landH776, and planted it in a fruitful soil; he placed it beside manyH7227 watersH4325; he setH7760 it as a willow-tree. 6And it grew, and becameH1961 a spreading vineH1612 of lowH8217 statureH6967, whose branchesH1808 turnedH6437 toward him, and the rootsH8328 thereof wereH1961 under him: so it becameH1961 a vineH1612, and brought forthH7971 branchesH1808, and shot forthH7971 sprigs.
7There wasH1961 also another greatH1419 eagleH5404 with greatH1419 wingsH3671 and manyH7227 feathers: and, behold, this vineH1612 did bend its rootsH8328 toward him, and shot forthH7971 its branchesH1808 toward him, from the bedsH6170 of its plantation, that he might waterH8248 it. 8It wasH1961 plantedH8362 in a goodH2896 soil by manyH7227 watersH4325, that it might bring forth branchesH6057, and that it might bearH5375 fruitH6529, that it might beH1961 a goodly vineH1612. 9SayH559 thou, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 Jehovah: Shall it prosperH6743? shall he not pullH5423 up the rootsH8328 thereof, and cut off the fruitH6529 thereof, that it may witherH3001; that all its fresh springing leaves may witherH3001? and not by a strong armH2220 or muchH7227 peopleH5971 can it be raised from the rootsH8328 thereof. 10Yea, behold, being plantedH8362, shall it prosperH6743? shall it not utterly witherH3001, when the eastH6921 windH7307 toucheth it? it shall witherH3001 in the bedsH6170 where it grew.
