1 Samuel 16:17-23
17And SaulH7586 saidH559 unto his servantsH5650, Provide me now a manH376 that can playH5059 wellH3190, and bringH935 him to me. 18Then answered oneH259 of the youngH5288 menH376, and saidH559, Behold, I have seenH7200 a sonH1121 of JesseH3448 the Beth-lehemite, that is skilful in playingH5059, and a mightyH1368 manH376 of valor, and a manH376 of warH4421, and prudent in speech, and a comely personH376; and Jehovah is with him. 19Wherefore SaulH7586 sentH7971 messengersH4397 unto JesseH3448, and saidH559, SendH7971 me DavidH1732 thy sonH1121, who is with the sheepH6629. 20And JesseH3448 tookH3947 an ass laden with breadH3899, and a bottle of wineH3196, and a kid, and sentH7971 them by DavidH1732 his sonH1121 unto SaulH7586. 21And DavidH1732 cameH935 to SaulH7586, and stoodH5975 before him: and he lovedH157 him greatly; and he becameH1961 his armorbearer. 22And SaulH7586 sentH7971 to JesseH3448, sayingH559, Let DavidH1732, I pray thee, standH5975 before me; for he hath foundH4672 favorH2580 in my sight. 23And it came to pass, when the evilH7451 spiritH7307 from GodH430 wasH1961 upon SaulH7586, that DavidH1732 tookH3947 the harpH3658, and playedH5059 with his handH3027: so SaulH7586 wasH1961 refreshed, and wasH1961 wellH2895, and the evilH7451 spiritH7307 departedH5493 from him.
