Mark 5:35-42

35While He was stillἔτιetiG2089speakingλαλοῦντοςlalountosG2980, peoplecameἔρχονταιerchontaiG2064from the house of thesynagogueG752officialG752,sayingλέγοντεςlegontesG3004, “Your daughterθυγάτηρthugatērG2364has diedἀπέθανεν·apethanenG599;whyτίtiG5101botherσκύλλειςskulleisG4660the Teacherδιδάσκαλον;¶didaskalonG1320furtherἔτιetiG2089?”

36But JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,overhearingπαρακούσαςparakousasG3878whatλόγονlogonG3588 G3056was being spokenλαλούμενονlaloumenonG2980,saidλέγειlegeiG3004to thesynagogueἀρχισυναγώγῳ·archisunagōgōG752officialG752, “Do not beG5399afraidG5399,onlyG3440believeπίστευε.pisteueG4100.”

37And He allowedἀφῆκενaphēkenG863noοὐκoukG3756 G3762oneοὐδέναoudenaG3762to accompanyσυνακολουθῆσαιsunakolouthēsaiG4870Him exceptG1508PeterΠέτρονPetronG4074,JamesἸάκωβονIakōbonG2385,and JohnἸωάννηνIōannēnG2491the brotherἀδελφὸνadelphonG80ofJamesἸακώβου.¶IakōbouG2385.

38They cameἔρχονταιerchontaiG2064to the houseοἶκονoikonG3624of thesynagogueἀρχισυναγώγου.archisunagōgouG752officialG752,and He sawθεωρεῖtheōreiG2334a commotionθόρυβονthorubonG2351, and peopleloudlyπολλά,pollaG4183weepingκλαίονταςklaiontasG2799and wailingἀλαλάζονταςalalazontasG214.

39And after enteringεἰσελθὼνeiselthōnG1525,He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“WhyτίtiG5101are you makingG2350aG2350commotionθορυβεῖσθεthorubeistheG2350and weepingκλαίετε;klaieteG2799?The childπαιδίονpaidionG3813has not diedἀπέθανενapethanenG599,but isG2518asleepG2518.”

40And they beganlaughingκατεγέλωνkategelōnG2606atG2606Him. But puttingἐκβαλὼνekbalōnG1544them allπάνταςpantasG3956outsideG1544,He tookG3880alongG3880the child’sπαιδίουpaidiouG3813fatherπατέραpateraG3962and motherμητέραmēteraG3384and His own companionsμετ᾽met᾽G3588 G3326,and enteredεἰσπορεύεταιeisporeuetaiG1531the roomwhereὅπουhopouG3699the childπαιδίονpaidionG3813was in bed.

41And takingκρατήσαςkratēsasG2902the childπαιδίουpaidiouG3813by the handχειρὸςcheirosG5495,He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to her,“TalithaταλιθαtalithaG5008,kumκουμ,koumG2891!” (whichὅhoG3739translatedμεθερμηνευόμενον,methermēneuomenonG3177meansἐστινestinG1510,“LittleG2877girlκοράσιον,korasionG2877,I sayλέγω,legōG3004to you, getG1453upG1453!”).

42And immediatelyG2117the girlκοράσιονkorasionG2877gotG450upG450and beganto walkπεριεπάτει·periepateiG4043,for she was twelveδώδεκα.dōdekaG1427yearsἐτῶνetōnG2094old. And immediatelyG2117they were completelyἐκστάσει μεγάλῃ.ekstasei megalēG1611 G3173astonishedἐξέστησανexestēsanG1839.
