1And He beganἤρξατοērxatoG757to speakλαλεῖν·laleinG2980to them in parablesπαραβολαῖςparabolaisG3850: “A manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444plantedἐφύτευσενephuteusenG5452a vineyardἀμπελῶναampelōnaG290and putG4060afenceφραγμὸνphragmonG5418aroundG4060it, and dugὤρυξενōruxenG3736a vatG5276underG5276theG5276wineG5276pressG5276and builtᾠκοδόμησενōkodomēsenG3618a towerπύργονpurgonG4444,and leasedἐξέδετοexedetoG1554it tovine-growersγεωργοῖςgeōrgoisG1092and wentG589onG589aG589journeyG589.

2And at the harvesttimeκαιρῷkairōG2540he sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649a slaveδοῦλονdoulonG1401to the vine-growersγεωργοὺςgeōrgousG1092,inG2443orderG2443toG2443receiveλάβῃlabēG2983his shareof the produceκαρπῶνkarpōnG2590of the vineyardἀμπελῶνος.ampelōnosG290from the vine-growersγεωργῶνgeōrgōnG1092.

3And they tookλαβόντεςlabontesG2983him, and beatἔδειρανedeiranG1194him, and sentG649him awayἀπέστειλανapesteilanG649empty-handedκενόν.kenonG2756.

4And againπάλινpalinG3825he sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649them anotherἄλλονallonG243slaveδοῦλον·doulonG1401,and they woundedG2775him inG2775theG2775headG2775,and treatedG818him shamefullyG818.

5And he sentἀπέστειλεν·apesteilenG649anotherἄλλονallonG243,and thatG2548oneG2548they killedἀπέκτειναν,apekteinanG615; and so withmanyπολλοὺςpollousG4183othersἄλλους,allousG243,beatingδέροντες,derontesG1194someοὓς μὲνhous menG3739 G3303and killingἀποκτέννοντες.apoktennontesG615othersοὓς δὲhous deG3739 G1161.

6He hadεἶχενeichenG2192oneἕναhenaG1520moreἔτιetiG2089man to send,a belovedἀγαπητόνagapētonG27sonυἱὸνhuionG5207;he sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649him to them lastἔσχατονeschatonG2078of all,sayingλέγωνlegōnG3004, ‘They will respectἐντραπήσονταιentrapēsontaiG1788my sonυἱόνhuionG5207.’

7But thoseἐκεῖνοιekeinoiG1565vine-growersγεωργοὶgeōrgoiG1092saidG3004to oneG1438anotherG1438, ‘ThisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the heirκληρονόμος·klēronomosG2818;comeδεῦτεdeuteG1205,let’s killἀποκτείνωμενapokteinōmenG615him, and the inheritanceκληρονομία.klēronomiaG2817will be oursG1473!’

8And they tookλαβόντεςlabontesG2983him and killedἀπέκτεινανapekteinanG615him, and threwG1544him outG1544of the vineyardἀμπελῶνος.ampelōnosG290.

9WhatτίtiG5101will theownerκύριοςkuriosG2962of the vineyardἀμπελῶνος;ampelōnosG290doποιήσειpoiēseiG4160?He will comeἐλεύσεταιeleusetaiG2064and putG622the vine-growersγεωργοὺςgeōrgousG1092toG622deathG622,and giveδώσειdōseiG1325the vineyardἀμπελῶναampelōnaG290to othersἄλλοις.alloisG243.

10Have you not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761readἀνέγνωτε·anegnōteG314thisταύτηνtautēnG3778ScriptureγραφὴνgraphēnG1124: ‘A stoneλίθονlithonG3037whichὃνhonG3739the buildersοἰκοδομοῦντες,oikodomountesG3618rejectedἀπεδοκίμασανapedokimasanG593,ThisοὗτοςhoutosG3778has becomeἐγενήθηegenēthēG1096thechiefκεφαλὴνkephalēnG2776cornerstoneγωνίας·gōniasG1137;
