51WhenἐνenG1722the daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250were approachingσυμπληροῦσθαιsumplērousthaiG4845for HisascensionἀναλήμψεωςanalēmpseōsG354, Hewas determinedἐστήρισενestērisenG4741to goπορεύεσθαιporeuesthaiG4198to JerusalemἸερουσαλήμ.IerousalēmG2419;

52and He sentἀπέστειλενapesteilenG649messengersἀγγέλουςangelousG32on aheadπρὸ προσώπουpro prosōpouG4253 G4383of Him, and they wentπορευθέντεςporeuthentesG4198and enteredεἰσῆλθονeisēlthonG1525a villageκώμηνkōmēnG2968of theSamaritansΣαμαριτῶνSamaritōnG4541tomakeἑτοιμάσαιhetoimasaiG2090arrangementsG2090for Him.

53And they did not receiveἐδέξαντοedexantoG1209Him,becauseὅτιhotiG3754He was travelingπορευόμενονporeuomenonG4198towardεἰςeisG1519JerusalemἸερουσαλήμ.IerousalēmG2419.

54When His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101JamesἸάκωβοςIakōbosG2385and JohnἸωάννηςIōannēsG2491sawG3708this,they saidG3004, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,do You wantθέλειςtheleisG2309us tocommandG3004fireπῦρpurG4442to comeκαταβῆναιkatabēnaiG2597downG2597from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772and consumeἀναλῶσαιanalōsaiG355them?”

55But He turnedστραφεὶςstrapheisG4762and rebukedἐπετίμησενepetimēsenG2008them.

56And they wentἐπορεύθησανeporeuthēsanG4198on to anotherἑτέρανheteranG2087villageκώμην.¶kōmēnG2968.

57As they were goingπορευομένωνporeuomenōnG4198on the roadὁδῷhodōG3598,someoneτιςtisG5100saidG3004to Him, “I will followἀκολουθήσωakolouthēsōG190You whereverὅπου ἐὰνhopou eanG3699 G1437You goἀπέρχῃaperchēG565.”

58And JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidG3004to him,“The foxesἀλώπεκεςalōpekesG258haveἔχουσιν,echousinG2192holesφωλεοὺςphōleousG5454and the birdsπετεινὰpeteinaG4071of the skyοὐρανοῦouranouG3772havenestsκατασκηνώσεις·kataskēnōseisG2682, butthe SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444hasἔχειecheiG2192nowhereοὐκ ποῦouk pouG3756 G4226to layκλίνῃ.¶klinēG2827His headκεφαλὴνkephalēnG2776.”

59And He saidG3004to anotherἕτερον·heteronG2087, “FollowἀκολούθειakoloutheiG190Me.”But he saidG3004, “Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,permitἐπίτρεψόνepitrepsonG2010me firstπρῶτονprōtonG4413to goἀπελθόντιapelthontiG565and buryθάψαιthapsaiG2290my fatherπατέραpateraG3962.”

60But He saidG3004to him,“AllowἄφεςaphesG863the deadνεκροὺςnekrousG3498to buryθάψαιthapsaiG2290their ownἑαυτῶνhe'autōnG1438deadνεκρούς.nekrousG3498;but as for you, goἀπελθὼνapelthōnG565andproclaimG1229everywhereG1229the kingdomβασιλείανbasileianG932of Godθεοῦ.¶theouG2316.”

61Anotherἕτερος·heterosG2087alsoκαὶkaiG2532saidG3004, “I will followἀκολουθήσωakolouthēsōG190You, Lordκύριε·kurieG2962; butfirstπρῶτονprōtonG4413permitἐπίτρεψόνepitrepsonG2010me to sayG657goodbyeG657to thoseG3588at my homeοἶκόνoikonG3624.”

62But JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidG3004to him, “NoG3762oneοὐδεὶςoudeisG3762,after puttingἐπιβαλὼνepibalōnG1911his handχεῖραcheiraG5495to the plowἄροτρονarotronG723and lookingβλέπωνblepōnG991backὀπίσωopisōG3694,is fitεὔθετόςeuthetosG2111for the kingdomβασιλείᾳbasileiaG932of Godθεοῦ.¶theouG2316.”
