19Hearשִׁמְעִ֣יshim.'IH8085,earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776:beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,I am bringingמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935disasterH7463on thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971, Thefruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of theirplansמַחְשְׁבוֹתָ֑םmach.she.vo.TamH4284,Becauseכִּ֤י עַל־ki 'al-H3588 H5921they have not listenedהִקְשִׁ֔יבוּhik.Shi.vuH7181to My wordsדְּבָרַי֙de.va.RaiH1697,And as for My Lawוְתוֹרָתִ֖יve.to.ra.TiH8451, they haverejectedוַיִּמְאֲסוּ־vai.yim.'a.su-H3988it also.

20For whatלָמָּה־la.mah-H4100purposeזֶּ֨הzehH2088doesfrankincenseלְבוֹנָה֙le.vo.NahH3828comeתָב֔וֹאta.Vo'H935to Me from Shebaמִשְּׁבָ֣אmi.she.Va'H7614, And thesweetהַטּ֖וֹבha.TovH2896caneוְקָנֶ֥הve.ka.NehH7070from a distantמֶרְחָ֑קmer.ChakH4801landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776?Your burntעֹלֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙o.lo.tei.KhemH5930offeringsH5930are not acceptableלְרָצ֔וֹןle.ra.TzonH7522And your sacrificesוְזִבְחֵיכֶ֖םve.ziv.chei.KhemH2077are not pleasingעָ֥רְבוּ'A.re.vuH6149to Me.”

21Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651,thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009, I amplacingנֹתֵ֛ןno.TenH5414stumblingH4383blocksH4383beforeאֶל־'el-H413thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971.And they will stumbleוְכָ֣שְׁלוּve.Kha.she.luH3782against them,Fathersאָב֨וֹת'a.VotH1and sonsוּבָנִ֥יםu.va.NimH1121togetherH3164;Neighborשָׁכֵ֥ןsha.KhenH7934andfriendוְרֵע֖וֹve.re.'OH7453will perishוְאָבָֽדוּ׃ פve.'a.Ba.duH6.”

22ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009, there isa peopleעַ֥ם'amH5971comingבָּ֖אba'H935from the northצָפ֑וֹןtza.FonH6828landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776,And a greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419nationוְג֣וֹיve.GoyH1471will be stirredH5782upH5782from theremoteH3411partsמִיַּרְכְּתֵי־mi.yar.ke.tei-H3411of the earthאָֽרֶץ׃'A.retzH776.

23They seizeיַחֲזִ֗יקוּya.cha.Zi.kuH2388bowקֶ֣שֶׁתKe.shetH7198and spearוְכִיד֞וֹןve.khi.DonH3591; They arecruelאַכְזָרִ֥י'akh.za.RiH394and haveH7355noוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808mercyיְרַחֵ֔מוּye.ra.Che.muH7355;Their voiceקוֹלָם֙ko.LamH6963roarsיֶהֱמֶ֔הye.he.MehH1993like the seaכַּיָּ֣םkai.YamH3220,And they rideיִרְכָּ֑בוּyir.Ka.vuH7392on horsesסוּסִ֖יםsu.SimH5483,LinedH6186upH6186as a manכְּאִישׁ֙ke.'IshH376for the battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֔הla.mil.cha.MahH4421AgainstH5921you, daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Zionצִיּֽוֹן׃tzi.YonH6726!”

24We haveheardשָׁמַ֥עְנוּsha.Ma'.nuH8085the reportשָׁמְע֖וֹsha.me.'OH8089of it;Our handsיָדֵ֑ינוּya.Dei.nuH3027areH7503limpרָפ֣וּra.FuH7503.Anguishצָרָה֙tza.RahH6869has seizedהֶחֱזִיקַ֔תְנוּhe.che.zi.Kat.nuH2388us,Painחִ֖ילchilH2427like that ofa woman inכַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃kai.yo.le.DahH3205childbirthH3205.

25Do not goתֵּֽצְאוּ֙te.tze.'iH3318outH3318into the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֔הha.sa.DehH7704, Anddo not walkתֵּלֵ֑כוּte.le.khiH1980on the roadוּבַדֶּ֖רֶךְu.va.De.rekhH1870;For the enemyH340has a swordחֶ֣רֶבChe.revH2719,Terrorמָג֖וֹרma.GorH4032is on everyH5439sideH5439.

26Daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of my peopleעַמִּ֤י'a.MiH5971,putH2296onH2296sackclothשָׂק֙sakH8242Androllוְהִתְפַּלְּשִׁ֣יve.hit.pa.le.ShiH6428in ashesבָאֵ֔פֶרva.'E.ferH665;Mournאֵ֤בֶל'E.velH60as for an onlyיָחִיד֙ya.ChidH3173sonH3173,A mostH8563bitterH8563mourningמִסְפַּ֖דmis.PadH4553.For suddenlyפִתְאֹ֔םfit.'OmH6597the destroyerהַשֹּׁדֵ֖דha.sho.DedH7703Will comeיָבֹ֥אya.Vo'H935againstH935us.

27“I havemadeנְתַתִּ֥יךָne.ta.Ti.khaH5414you an assayerבָּח֛וֹןba.ChonH969andan examinerH1219among My peopleבְעַמִּ֖יve.'a.MiH5971,So that you may knowוְתֵדַ֕עve.te.Da'H3045and putH974their wayדַּרְכָּֽם׃dar.KamH1870toH974theH974testוּבָחַנְתָּ֖u.va.chan.TaH974.”

28Allכֻּלָּם֙ku.LamH3605of them are stubbornlyH5637rebelliousH5637,Goingהֹלְכֵ֥יho.le.KheiH1980aboutH1980as a slandererרָכִ֖ילra.KhilH7400; They arebronzeנְחֹ֣שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178and ironוּבַרְזֶ֑לu.var.ZelH1270.They are, allכֻּלָּ֥םku.LamH3605of them, corruptמַשְׁחִיתִ֖יםmash.chi.TimH7843.

29The bellowsמַפֻּ֔חַma.Pu.achH4647blowH2787fiercelyH2787,The leadעֹפָ֑רֶת'o.Fa.retH5777is consumedH8552by the fireH800;In vainלַשָּׁוְא֙la.shaV'H7723the refiningH6884goesH6884onH6884, But thewickedוְרָעִ֖יםve.ra.'ImH7451are notseparatedנִתָּֽקוּ׃ni.Ta.kuH5423.

30They callקָרְא֖וּka.re.'UH7121them rejectedנִמְאָ֔סnim.'AsH3988silverכֶּ֣סֶףKe.sefH3701,Becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588theLordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has rejectedמָאַ֥סma.'AsH3988them.
