12‘Then it will bewhen seventyשִׁבְעִ֣יםshiv.'ImH7657yearsשָׁנָ֡הsha.NahH8141are completedכִמְלֹ֣אותkhim.LotH4390I willpunishאֶפְקֹ֣ד'ef.KodH6485the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶל֩ba.VelH894and that nationהַגּ֨וֹיha.GoyH1471,’declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068, ‘for their wrongdoingעֲוֹנָ֖ם'a.vo.NamH5771,and the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּ֑יםkas.DimH3778; andI will makeוְשַׂמְתִּ֥יve.sam.TiH7760it an everlastingעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769desolationלְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹתle.shi.MotH8077.

13I will bringוְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ve.he.ve.tiH935upon that landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776allכָּל־kol-H3605My wordsדְּבָרַ֖יde.va.RaiH1697whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have pronouncedדִּבַּ֣רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696againstH5921it, allכָּל־kol-H3605that is writtenהַכָּתוּב֙ha.ka.TuvH3789inthisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088bookבַּסֵּ֣פֶרba.Se.ferH5612whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414has prophesiedנִבָּ֥אni.Ba'H5012againstH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִֽם׃ha.go.YimH1471.

14(Formanyרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227nationsגּוֹיִ֣םgo.YimH1471and greatגְּדוֹלִ֑יםge.do.LimH1419kingsוּמְלָכִ֖יםu.me.la.KhimH4428will makeH5647slavesH5647of them, evenגַּם־gam-H1571them; and I willrepayוְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥יve.shi.lam.TiH7999them according to their deedsכְּפָעֳלָ֖םke.fo.'o.LamH6467and according to the workוּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥הu.khe.ma.'a.SehH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶֽם׃ סye.dei.HemH3027.)’”

15For thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,saysאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559to me: “Takeקַ֠חkachH3947thisH2088cupכּ֨וֹסKosH3563of the wineהַיַּ֧יִןhai.Ya.yinH3196of wrathהַחֵמָ֛הha.che.MahH2534from My handמִיָּדִ֑יmi.ya.DiH3027and giveH8248it to allכָּל־kol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471to whomאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834I sendשֹׁלֵ֥חַsho.Le.achH7971you, toH8248drinkוְהִשְׁקִיתָ֤הve.hish.ki.TahH8248from it.

16Then they willdrinkוְשָׁת֕וּve.sha.TuH8354and loudlyH1607vomitH1607and actוְהִתְהֹלָ֑לוּve.hit.ho.La.luH1984insanelyH1984becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of the swordהַחֶ֔רֶבha.Che.revH2719that I am going to sendשֹׁלֵ֖חַsho.Le.achH7971amongבֵּינֹתָֽם׃bei.no.TamH996them.”

17So I tookוָאֶקַּ֥חva.'e.KachH3947the cupהַכּ֖וֹסha.KosH3563from the Lord’sיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027andgaveH8248it to allכָּל־kol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471to whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068sentשְׁלָחַ֥נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me, toH8248drinkוָֽאַשְׁקֶה֙va.'ash.KehH8248from it:

18ToJerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ye.ru.sha.LimH3389and the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,and its kingsמְלָכֶ֖יהָme.la.Khei.haH4428andits officialsשָׂרֶ֑יהָsa.Rei.haH8269,to makeלָתֵ֨תla.TetH5414them placesH2723ofH2723ruinsלְחָרְבָּ֧הle.cha.re.BahH2723,objectsH8047ofH8047horrorH8047,hissingלִשְׁרֵקָ֥הlish.re.KahH8322,and a curseוְלִקְלָלָ֖הve.lik.la.LahH7045,as it is thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117;

20and toallכָּל־kol-H3605theforeignH6154peopleH6154,allכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֖יmal.KheiH4428of thelandאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Uzהָע֑וּץha.'UtzH5780,allכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵי֙mal.KheiH4428of the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430(that is, Ashkelonאַשְׁקְל֤וֹן'ash.ke.LonH831,Gazaעַזָּה֙'a.ZahH5804,Ekronעֶקְר֔וֹןek.RonH6138,and the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֥יתshe.'e.RitH7611ofAshdodאַשְׁדּֽוֹד׃'ash.DodH795);

23and toDedanדְּדָ֤ןde.DanH1719,Temaתֵּימָא֙tei.Ma'H8485,Buzבּ֔וּזBuzH938,and allכָּל־kol-H3605whotrimקְצוּצֵ֥יke.tzu.TzeiH7112the cornersפֵאָֽה׃fe.'AhH6285of their hair;

24and toallכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428ofArabiaעֲרָ֑ב'a.RavH6152and allכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of theforeignH6154peopleH6154who liveהַשֹּׁכְנִ֖יםha.sho.khe.NimH7931in the desertבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057;

25and toallכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Zimriזִמְרִ֗יzim.RiH2174,allכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428ofElamעֵילָ֔ם'ei.LamH5867,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428ofMediaמָדָֽי׃ma.DaiH4074;

26and toallכָּל־kol-H3605the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of the northהַצָּפ֗וֹןha.tza.FonH6828,nearהַקְּרֹבִ֤יםha.ke.ro.VimH7138and farוְהָֽרְחֹקִים֙ve.ha.re.cho.KimH7350,oneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376with anotherאָחִ֔יו'a.ChivH251; andallכָּל־kol-H3605the kingdomsהַמַּמְלְכ֣וֹתha.mam.le.KhotH4467of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834are on the faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the groundהָאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127;and the kingוּמֶ֥לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428ofSheshachשֵׁשַׁ֖ךְshe.ShakhH8347shall drinkיִשְׁתֶּ֥הyish.TehH8354itafterאַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃'a.cha.rei.HemH310them.

27“And you shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַר֩'a.MarH559: “Drinkשְׁת֤וּshe.TuH8354,beH7937drunkוְשִׁכְרוּ֙ve.shikh.RuH7937,vomitוּקְי֔וּu.ke.YuH7006,fallוְנִפְל֖וּve.nif.LuH5307down, and do not getH6965upH6965,becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of theswordהַחֶ֔רֶבha.Che.revH2719whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834I am sendingשֹׁלֵ֖חַsho.Le.achH7971amongבֵּינֵיכֶֽם׃bei.nei.KhemH996you.”’

28And ifכִּ֧יkiH3588theyrefuseיְמָאֲנ֛וּye.ma.'a.NuH3985to takeלָקַֽחַת־la.ka.chat-H3947the cupהַכּ֥וֹסha.KosH3563from your handמִיָּדְךָ֖mi.ya.de.KhaH3027to drinkלִשְׁתּ֑וֹתlish.TotH8354,then you shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַ֛ר'a.MarH559: “You shall certainlyשָׁת֥וֹsha.ToH8354drinkתִשְׁתּֽוּ׃tish.TuH8354!

29For beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009, I ambeginningמֵחֵ֣לme.ChelH2490to inflictH7489disasterH7489on thiscityבָעִ֜ירva.'IrH5892whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834iscalledנִֽקְרָא־nik.ra'-H7121by My nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034,so should you beH5352completelyH5352freeH5352fromH5352punishmentH5352?You will not beH5352freeH5352fromH5352punishmentH5352, forI am summoningקֹרֵא֙ko.Re'H7121a swordחֶ֗רֶבChe.revH2719againstH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.’

30“Therefore you shall prophesyתִּנָּבֵ֣אti.na.Ve'H5012againstH413them allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697,and you shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘TheLordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068willroarיִשְׁאָג֙yish.'AgH7580from on highמִמָּר֤וֹםmi.ma.RomH4791And raiseיִתֵּ֣ןyi.TenH5414His voiceקוֹל֔וֹko.LoH6963from His holyקָדְשׁוֹ֙ka.de.ShoH6944dwellingוּמִמְּע֤וֹןu.mi.me.'onH4583;He will roarשָׁאֹ֤גsha.'OgH7580forcefullyיִשְׁאַג֙yish.'AgH7580againstעַל־'al-H5921Hisfoldנָוֵ֔הוּna.Ve.huH5116.He will shoutהֵידָד֙hei.DadH1959like those who treadכְּדֹרְכִ֣יםke.do.re.KhimH1869the grapes,AgainstH413allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

31A clamorשָׁאוֹן֙sha.'OnH7588has comeבָּ֤אba'H935to the endקְצֵ֣הke.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,Becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588the Lordלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068hasa controversyרִ֤יבrivH7379with the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471.He is enteringנִשְׁפָּ֥טnish.PatH8199intoH8199judgmentH8199withhumanityבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320;As for the wickedהָרְשָׁעִ֛יםha.re.sha.'ImH7563,He has turnedH5414them overH5414to the swordלַחֶ֖רֶבla.Che.revH2719,’declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.”

33“ThoseputH2491toH2491deathH2491by the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068on that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117will be from one endמִקְצֵ֥הmik.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776to theotherקְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץke.Tzeh ha.'A.retzH7097 H776. They willnot be mournedיִסָּפְד֗וּyi.sa.fe.DuH5594,gatheredיֵאָֽסְפוּ֙ye.'a.se.FuH622,or buriedיִקָּבֵ֔רוּyi.ka.Ve.ruH6912; they will be likedungלְדֹ֛מֶןle.Do.menH1828on the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the groundהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127.
