30Then Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130, “Nowהַפָּ֑עַםha.Pa.'amH6471let me dieאָמ֣וּתָה'a.Mu.tahH4191,sinceאַחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310I have seenרְאוֹתִ֣יre.'o.TiH7200your faceפָּנֶ֔יךָpa.Nei.khaH6440,that you are stillעוֹדְךָ֖'od.KhaH5750aliveחָֽי׃ChaiH2416.”

31But Josephיוֹסֵ֤ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to his brothersאֶחָיו֙'e.ChavH251and to his father’sאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1householdבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004, “I will goאֶעֱלֶ֖ה'e.'e.LehH5927upH5927and tellוְאַגִּ֣ידָהve.'a.Gi.dahH5046Pharaohלְפַרְעֹ֑הle.far.'OhH6547,and will sayוְאֹֽמְרָ֣הve.'o.me.RahH559to him, ‘My brothersאַחַ֧י'a.ChaiH251and my father’sאָבִ֛י'a.ViH1householdוּבֵית־u.veit-H1004,whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834werein the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Canaanכְּנַ֖עַןke.Na.'anH3667,have comeבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935to me;

32and the menH376are shepherdsרֹ֣עֵיRo.'eiH7462,for they have beenהָי֑וּHa.yuH1961keepersH376of livestockמִקְנֶ֖הmik.NehH4735;and they have broughtהֵבִֽיאוּ׃he.Vi.'uH935their flocksH6629and their herdsוּבְקָרָ֛םu.ve.ka.RamH1241and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that they have.’

33Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֑הpar.'OhH6547callsיִקְרָ֥אyik.Ra'H7121for you and saysוְאָמַ֖רve.'a.MarH559, ‘Whatמַה־mah-H4100is your occupationמַּעֲשֵׂיכֶֽם׃ma.'a.sei.KhemH4639?’

34you shall sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗םva.'a.mar.TemH559, ‘Your servantsעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙'a.va.Dei.khaH5650have beenהָי֤וּha.YuH1961keepersH376of livestockמִקְנֶ֜הmik.NehH4735sinceH4480our youthמִנְּעוּרֵ֣ינוּmi.ne.'u.Rei.nuH5271even untilוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704nowעַ֔תָּה'A.tahH6258,bothH1571we and our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1,’soH5668thatH5668you may liveתֵּשְׁבוּ֙te.she.VuH3427in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776ofGoshenגֹּ֔שֶׁןGo.shenH1657;for everyכָּל־kol-H3605shepherdרֹ֥עֵהRo.'ehH7462is anabominationתוֹעֲבַ֥תto.'a.VatH8441to the EgyptiansH4714.”
